It's hard to say mate, I genuinely hope he'd have won things but there just seems to be too many trigger happy owners nowadays.

Fergie, for me, would have won anywhere, any time, with any team... you won't see another like him in England. As bitter and horrible as he could be, he had the respect of all of his players, all of the time and as soon as he lost that, he'd have no trouble cutting the individuals out.

Imagine Bobby Robson shoving Shearer out of Newcastle? He'd have probably been murdered by the Newcastle fans.

Becks had to go, Keane, Stam, Ruud, the list goes on.

The only one he let go who he really didn't want to go was Ronaldo.

Oh I'm the same mate, the money has murdered the game. But we are left with a choice to move on with the game or stand and moan about it.

I suppose it's easier for me to 'move along' from my ivory tower, we've had success and are looking like building a new empire now and I see how other clubs feel further out of touch as each year goes on.

I see a salary cap coming when FIFA gets reformed, which will fix it partially but you're still going to get players being paid image rights and endorsements... the days of young kids kicking balls against garage doors are over, the future is Raheem Sterling's who tell their mummies to call in sick for them whilst they sleep on a bed of Rolex's.

Summed up perfectly although it makes me a bit sad to say it.

I think Nacho would agree, with me, that there's a big difference between the world's biggest club spending big, and failing, than Aston Villa.

It depends what you count as failing mate, we've failed to qualify for the Champions League when we had an utter ****ing pickle in charge and then straight back in despite having a horrendous season of injuries.

We've not won the league for two seasons, it's happened in the past under Fergie as too has early exits from the league cup, embarrassing ones at that.

Ah but that was when it was 11v11 and teams were built not bought and success cycles were governed by the ability of the players not the great wealth that is provided now. Good team were created and managers blossomed but now it is the one that who spends wisely and stays in the top four who is deemed a success.

You're not wrong, mate. Funny watching Mourhino going "everybody hates us" - of course we do! You're buying titles...
