Well it's the dull Coca Cola, something or other that everyone secretly wants their team to win but secretly doesn't care when they lose, but secret die on the inside when they dicked by a nobody team.

Even I can't see us losing this one. If we do I demand LVG sacked immediately. Hopefully he may play a few youngsters and no doubt Rooney so he can score and feel justified in what an absolute waste of space he is.

    Interesting fact.

Middlesborough being in the north east wasn't voted in the top ten ****test places to live. I for one was surprised by that. Interestingly Wolverhampton came too as the worst place to live. Liverpool came third.. At least the scousers can say they finished top 3 in something this year.

I have been to Middlesbrough a few times and it is indeed a ****hole. Yarm is however a nice suburb and we used to drink in The Black Bull.

By the way, your spelling of the name of the city is the pet peeve of the locals!

I suspect he will rest a number of players this evening. At a complete guess:

Romero (so a one goal head start to Boro)
    Darmian
    Jones
    Blind
    Rojo
    Carrick
    Fellaini
    Lingard
    Perreira
    Depay
    Wilson

Would like to see McNair given a shot for this one - he's not out on loan this year so would assume he's going to play in the LC. Probably CB, but maybe RB like last year. Although no 3-5-2 bollocks this year so perhaps not.

I have never been to Middlesbrough. True story.

Wolverhampton is indeed a **** hole, I went past Molineux last Sunday, while the stadium is fine the entire area is as bad as Liverpool.

    Middlesbrough to win <ok>

Did you ever have the pleasure of Ayresome Park (aka Gruesome Park) ?

****ing hell man, that was one ****ehole of a stadium in a ****ehole of a city in a ****ehole of an estate. They kept us in after for almost as long as the match itself in sub zero temperatures.

The town itself is also right up there in the grim stakes.

I used to go to Middlesbrough to visit friends and spend the occasional evening in Tall Trees as North East girls are very obliging. Never went to the football there.

Is the League Cup (Capital One Cup) our best chance of winning something this season?

No, UTD will win the league, FA cup and Champions league, the league cup are for small clubs like Hull and Chavbus FC

I'd be surprised if United win this tie with this team. LVG gives the signal that it is not important. 6 first team choices out.

10 out of 11. Not bad for a Milk Cup game.

8 internationals. This team should beat Boro. Not that they definitely will though.

I won't be surprised if lvg plays Memphis as the striker and Wilson on the wing or no 10

    That would make no sense.

    I think you're probably right.

Team should be strong enough but the bench has plenty of back up if needed.

United: Romero; Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Rojo; Carrick, Fellaini, Pereira; Lingard, Wilson, Memphis. Substitutes: De Gea, Young, Schweinsteiger, Herrera, Mata, Martial, Rooney.
