If this is true:- Controversial Sunderland star Adam Johnson went out celebrating in NEWCASTLE after scoring in an explosive derby game. The £10million England winger was in the heart of 'enemy' territory just hours after helping the Black Cats to victory. But after the match, he headed straight for Newcastle to drink to the 3-0 victory over the old enemy. He was at cocktail bar Livello until 3am on the city's Quayside where two angry United fans told staff: "He is an absolute disgrace for showing his face around here." They were ejected from the venue and banned for life. Johnson was then escorted to a waiting taxi, with six bouncers protecting him, in what was described as like a scene from Hollywood movie 'The Bodyguard'. It is believed the cab took him back to his home in Castle Eden, Co Durham, which is a 50-mile round trip, or 35 minutes by road. "I find it incredible that he thought it was a good idea to go out in Newcastle after a match like that," said a source close to the incident. "I think it is provocative after celebrating his goal in that way, right in front of theNewcastle United fans. It is asking for trouble. "The two fans who pointed that out were frogmarched from the premises. They have been told they are banned from the club for life. "But surely Adam Johnson must have known how people would react? He had six bouncers around him when he left, it was like a scene from The Bodyguard. "To go out in Newcastle after a match like that really does beggar belief." The source said the two fans were 'furious' as a result of the incident. It is understood Johnson has been to the club before, and is known to club management. He was said to be 'unaware' of the two fans being ejected. Livello declined to comment on the incident, as did Sunderland AFC and Johnson. The dad-of-one joined Middlesbrough youth academy as a 12-year-old. He made his Premier League debut for the club in 2005. Sunderland signed him Man City for £10 million in 2012.
What a ****ing tool. You'd think that scoring against them would make it bad enough, but with everything going on away from football makes it even worse.
If true it's not balls but stupidity on his behalf. Altough I could understand if Catts and Johnston went to see if Colback was okay. They were/are mates
Aye, I think its fair to say his decision making throughout his career is the reason why he has not fullfilled the massive potential he showed as a kid.
its hard to believe any thing these days. mag bastards make anything up... jono was prolly set up again. or is my paranoia kicking in.
That's where he was going but the cab took him into the city instead of the hospital... The bloke is an utter idiot mind. He's a pork pie short of a picnic but if he plays like he did on Sunday I don't care. Unless he's found guilty of course in which case he can go get ****ed (probably literally)
There have been lots of rumours and a fair bit of evidence that he likes the odd drink or several. Being a boozer might have been par for the course 30 years ago....today it is probably better if players do not drink during the season. A mates daughter is a triathlete and she reckons even a couple of drinks set your training and performance back. This could br AJs problem?
Yep, i think his drinking is a big reason why he hasnt reached his potential. The City fans warned us about his playboy lifestyle. Ive seen it first hand myself aswell from when he was at Boro. I used to go out on the lash about 4 times a week those days, and very rarely did i not see him at least one of the occasions in Yarm or Boro.
idiotic but hilarious. If I saw him, I'd demand he buy me a drink to help get over his mag slaying ways. In return, I'll get him on the milf bandwagon
This why I said the celebration lacked class. That's because I know the lad is as far removed possible from being classy.
Maybe or maybe his mates own the club and are also Sunderland fans and we went to celebrate with them?
