It's clearly not gone over?

Not that I give a damn now, but I did at the time . . . . this pic is BEFORE Schwarzer dives on the ball and and with his momentum the ball goes over the line. I can understand the lino not giving it as it was close and Schwarzer is a big unit. Maybe the ref was unsighted too - but he sure as hell wasn't for both the penalty shouts.

Irrelevant now tho :) Fantastic battling against 12 men tonight. Outplayed Foxes in all areas.

Looked nearer 20,000 to me. I would suggest that the Leicester fans were not included in the count. Giving some passholders a freebie has backfired a bit and cost the club a few bob. Perhaps they have clawed it back by omitting the away fans?
All the same I thought City battered them tonight. The Leicester goal was an injustice as was the 'goal' we scored but wasn't given.
Great all round team performance and justice was done in the end, also five excellent penalties from City. Very professional performance all round. Seems a but churlish to find something to moan about after a night like tonight.

I wouldn't say it backfired at all, in fact it now gives them a very strong case when people complain about the cost of season passes. When it was first announced many grumbled that it would give them access to ****ty uninteresting cup ties, if any at all. We've now had three good rounds in a row for free.

Three points I need to make, no four;

1.The Akpom penalty/ booking incident was right in front of me and did he ****ers like dive.

2.Atwell is an awful ref, I'm not just saying this but he was biased beyond belief. Even when we scored he ran over to Schwarzer to say something, he had no need to it was a clear cut, non contentious goal. It looked as if he was almost apologising to him.

3. I got some complimentary tickets and sat in the North West corner and I had the most irritating woman known to Christendom sat behind me. She knew the square root of **** all when it came to football and had a gob like dock gates. Well done love, you nearly spoiled my night.

4. I attended tonight's game in rag order. I've got flu like symptoms and severe abdominal pains. My joints ache, my head is pounding, I can't stop coughing and I was ****ing freezing throughout the whole game.

Just thought I'd get than in so it makes me look like I'm a better supporter than those able bodied plastics who couldn't be arsed to go.

I agree I said there was 20,000 there, there seemed a lot more than the Ipswich and Birmingham games.

Your point number 4 has brought back horrible memories. Last time I was in the North-West corner was New Years Day a few years back and I felt like I was dying more and more as the match went on. Turned out I actually had the dreaded Swine Flu during that epidemic back then, (really I shouldn't have gone but already had the ticket). We played Leicester that day too. And we lost 0-1. To make matters worse Liam Rosenior broke a Leicester player's leg, (forget who) right in front of me - I heard the bone snap! Horrid memories!!

Worse?

Just got in, what a great nights entertainment, that was a great
Performance by city, it would of been a travesty to lose that game,
We passed it around and made Leicester look like the championship
Team, I was very impressed with all the lads especially Hayden,
How he doesn't get a game is beyond me,ran his blood to water,
Harry was brilliant at the back although he looked a bit nervous
For the first 5-10 mins. But really grew into the game, I don't think he missed a header
Him and daws blocked a cpl of certain goals. Hudds had a good game,
Moses and robbo also had good games, the jak still fills me with nerves,
But pulled off a great save for the First pen and nearly stopped the second.
City looked tired in the second half but after they scored they seem to get
An injection of energy and the crowd got more vocal, the Leicester Fans
Chanted how **** we were until we scored, then they went really quiet .
The booing and noise when they took their penalties was defining
All in all a great night.. Our 5 penalties were unstoppable
Sheffield Wednesday at home in the next round please God.

Bizarrely enough my lad pointed out tonight that the last time we sat in the South West corner was for that very same game.

Spooky.

<laugh> - Yeah, but when you have Swine Flu and should not be sat out in the cold winter's air, hearing the leg bone of anyone's snap makes you feel even more ill.

Quite ironically I actually think I caught that Swine Flu at the memorable 3-2 Bramhall Lane victory on Boxing Day a few days earlier. Pigs?

Ah right. Just sayin', if we ended up losing that game all I can say is if Big Harry clattered Vardy and broke one of his Scotch Eggs I would have left the KC with a smile on my face.

Why did Burns/Swann refer to the ref as "Halliday" all through the game. I read on the BBC Sports game review that it was the awful Stuart Atwell who was demoted from the Prem list a few years back after a series of howlers. No question the reffing was abysmal tonight and nearly cost us the game. So I assume it was Atwell. Did I hear B/S wrong...it sounded pretty clear to me.?? Can someone clarify who was actually reffing tonight.

Hmm, yeah OK. I know with that previous incident Rosy and all involved from Leicester accepted it as an accident and apportioned no blame.

In fact I don't know why I put a laugh smiley on my last comment. I've had a few but apologies, that was poor taste.

Evening lads, congratulations on the result. Pretty gutted we've not made more of a fist of it. It's piss poor to go ahead in Extra-Time and then to lose.

Unfortunately when it went to penalties it was only a matter of when we were going to miss first. Anything on target would have got past Grandad according to initial reports.

I've been out for a work do and just got in, how were we? Obviously we were ****ing awful but how did the two young lads (Chilwell and Dodoo) get on?

Hope you win it, real chance with Chelsea and Arsenal gone. Good luck with the draw and the next round.
Chilwell looks a good prospect, Dodoo don't do.

This is the internet, a place where 9/11 jokes are in abundance. I don't care.

Without bias, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Atwell have a decent game.

He must be some sort of ‘project’.

Had a quick scan of Foxes Talk, first time in ages: seems like we’ve prevented them from winning the League Cup.

They make the Mackems appear ‘grounded’.
