Just seen the highlights again. Vardy is onside. Just.
Although it's so fast you could argue he may not be just as contact ends.which means he was when it started.

Anyway. **** that debate for a game of soldiers...

WE WON
And the goal was given, so there's nothing to argue about anyway.

Great end to the game that, justice was served! I don't know who was the worst, the idiot officials or the classless Leicester fans. Loads of plus points, great performances from Maguire at the back , Daws, Hayden, Taylor looked nearly decent, Jakupovic was almost totally steady. Luer ran his guts out again in the lone strike role. Hope we get Sheff Weds next time up then possibly a semi again, UTT!!

Random fact: If Man City beat Palace tomorrow it''ll be the first time since 2009/10 that there hasn't been a London club in the semi-finals of the League Cup, and the first time since 1983/84 that there won't be a London club in the 1/4 Finals.
We're going to Wembley again aren't we. It's so ****ing written. It's great and all that don't get me wrong, but I just hate going to London.

I was surprised when it said under 17.000
It looked more to me nearer 18.000

You can tell the difference between 17,000 and 18,000? Does the crowd include pass holders if they went or not?
Take away the Leicester fans and it was a poor attendance for a game which was so cheap and with a quite a few entitled to free entrance. A sign that the Allams shenanigans have alienated a lot of people?

Evening lads, congratulations on the result. Pretty gutted we've not made more of a fist of it. It's piss poor to go ahead in Extra-Time and then to lose.

Unfortunately when it went to penalties it was only a matter of when we were going to miss first. Anything on target would have got past Grandad according to initial reports.

I've been out for a work do and just got in, how were we? Obviously we were ****ing awful but how did the two young lads (Chilwell and Dodoo) get on?
-
Hope you win it, real chance with Chelsea and Arsenal gone. Good luck with the draw and the next round.

Dodoo was poor - seemed to lack pace and I can't remember him getting anything right. HIghlight was when he was beaten in the air by Maloney who is only 5 ft 6ins.
I thought that Chilwell was OK but struggled when Hernandez and Akpom came on - again, he seemed to lack pace and was slow to turn.

It's so satisfying to be able to say the better team won tonight. Had we not equalised it'd have been a ****ing travesty.

Both the talking points looked to go against us, but looking at the replay it's a great run from Vardy and tbf Jak did well to save the initial effort. Maguire said in the post match that the lino had admitted he couldn't see whether the ball had crossed the line (looking at that pic it didn't totally go over) so he'd have had to guess (which even though they seem to do half the time, they apparently can't do when it matters.).

All the lads played really well, I can forgive the side to side along the backline tonight as Leicester were well drilled in their marking and it took time to pick a decent pass. Dave and Robbo gave us decent width, but Luer looked a bit isolated up top and I'd have liked to have seen another striker with him (obviously it wasn't an option given the others had played a few days ago). Diame looked frigged and should've been replaced long before he was, the fresh legs of Meyler were a welcome addition.

All in all I'm super serial psyched to be through, my Leicester supporting friends think they were hard done by which is even funnier, but not as funny as their long drive home on a Tuesday night following a loss after extra time and penalties.

No it's a sign it was our 3rd home game in a week and just after hull fair week.....Ffs give the Allan crap a rest!

I thought their number 9 was a right ugly bastard, might not sleep tonight after seeing his ugly mug up close!

Not with the new scanner system I doubt, it should all automatic. The ticket office claimed 18500 tickets were sold which would include the free pass holders, so I think a 17k crowd proves that they no longer just count all season ticket holders as attended whether they were there or not.

Ticket office could have just pulled a figure out their arse of course.

On the goal that wasn't, I had a clear line of sight and it didn't look in to me, people around agreed. Apart from that the ref and officials were shocking

Looked nearer 20,000 to me. I would suggest that the Leicester fans were not included in the count. Giving some passholders a freebie has backfired a bit and cost the club a few bob. Perhaps they have clawed it back by omitting the away fans?
All the same I thought City battered them tonight. The Leicester goal was an injustice as was the 'goal' we scored but wasn't given.
Great all round team performance and justice was done in the end, also five excellent penalties from City. Very professional performance all round. Seems a but churlish to find something to moan about after a night like tonight.

Did I really just hear the BBC guy on the League cup rundown say "League 1 Hull City beat Leicester"? I know they're pretty shoddy at times, but really!
