Just reread Gallaghers patter he says definately a foul but the red is debatable - thinks they would have to prove the keeper would get to it first which is difficult so you may be right they may not overturn it

 

I think it should be over turned 100%

I've seen the other angle and it looks much more 50/50 between Fletch and Elliot than I thought. Is it enough to uphold it? I'd say no, still think it's harsh, but the FA are notorious for being closed to reason. I think it could be wrongly upheld.

 

Fair enough, not gonna argue it any more anyway as it's hardly relevant, my initial comment was only semi-tongue in cheek anyway.

3rd choice keeper, Colo not convinced he`s going to collect, no choice but to take Fletcher out. Might not be quite so mad after all if he`d got away with it.

I saw an angle (like they do for the offsides) and as Shirley makes contact with Fletch the ball is about 3-4 yards away and about 8-10 yards to the keeper although the ball is travelling towards the keeper. (mind I had a few sherberts at the time so possibly not reliable evidence!)

 

It's annoying because there's very few gifs, vines and vids about. The Premier League are all over it deleting infringement.

They've been charged with failing to control their players.

That's like releasing a man from jail who was wrongly imprisoned and saying "You shouldn't have complained that we put you in prison though".

 

Fabricio Coloccini has won an appeal against his sending-off during Newcastle's defeat at Sunderland.

Ah crap! I was hoping someone more useful, like a bowling pin, would have taken his place.

 

Glad it's been overturned. It was wrong to send him off and now they've got a liability straight back in the team. There's little evidence to say it would have changed the outcome given Newcastle were invited on with 10 men and every opportunity to score(they had 10 of their 21 shots with 10 men) but didn't really come close. unlikely we would have scored more against ten man. I reckon it would have ended up 1-0 thanks to the correct penalty. One can only ponder of course but Newcastle weren't close to scoring. Pants had his positioning spot on and had everything comfortably covered.
