All this crap from the Nags about the penalty decision and sending off is all smoke and mirrors from a team who's managers job is on the line. Penalty given, penalty scored, sending off happened, 3 - 0 scoreline.....you all put your big boy pants on and deal with it...end of....seven up next.... :)

JC, if you think Fletcher went over too easy from that barge you really are losing it, mate. He got knocked flat and you can see Colo's elbow left there in the photos...

Simon Bird - "That was until Coloccini bumped Steven Fletcher out of the way, shoulder to shoulder, as they sprinted into the box onto a Jermain Defoe through ball."

<laugh> <laugh> I think he just does it for a laugh

Any idea when we will hear the decision from the appeal?

I'd expect it to be today, it looks fairly straight forward.

Usually fairly quick if there's a game on the horizon, they're out of the cup though so maybe they'll take their time, I'm sure they're inundated with work from Chelsea alone down at the FA.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the ban upheld. Personally, I don't think it's the correct decision but they would need to decide that the referee made a clear mistake in his decisions, and unless it is blatently obvious and beyond any dispute at all then they usually back the ref.

I think only Graham Souness has said the ref got that call right, out of everybody, including a few ex-referees.

Souness loves red though, blinkered tashy ****ing monkey boy.

For me it is a red. Last man, not clear he would get to the ball. The argument for him not getting the ball would mean that coloccini went in off the ball with his arm.

Dermot Gallagher on sky says correct decision(s) - he think it will be hard to get the red overturned

Has there ever been a precedent set where the club actually wants the appeal to fail? <laugh>

    He's awful.

I think the FA will probably protect their man, they seem to have no spine at all... the red was the wrong call absolutely.

I reckon we should try (fit, big jugged) women refs for just one round of games, how much worse could it possibly go?
