Fifty pence to take a ferret to a football match? Get away wi' ya! Here's how to do it should you feel the need to smuggle a ferret into a football ground. It'd possibly work for Grannys too. But I've never actually tested that out.
5 nil to us. Isaac, Moses, David, Abel and Mo to score. It should be a a victory of 'biblical' proportions.
I Would be happy to face that lot ^^^^^ with what we shall have starting. Ulloa is an injury doubt by all accounts though. 8 changes only for the Tigers due to injuries. Which 3 stay in from saturday is the key question ? For me it should be Odubajo - Robertson - Clucas. twt. I fancy extra time and maybe even pens clould be on the cards. However a Maguire header in the last minute of added time from a Maloney corner kick to win 1-0 would do me fine.
If these lads show the same levels of enthusiasm, ability and workrate that they did to totally outclass West Ham (who made 3 changes from the side that beat Man City a few days prior) in the last round then we'll have no problems tonight. But, of course, 'If' is the defining word in that sentence.
It'd be nice to think we could give this a good go but I suspect it'll be a second string and we'll get mullered. Can't say I'm that bothered at the mo. My focus this week is Saturday and this feels like a distraction.
Hope SB decides against giving Ryan Taylor a run out tonight out of loyalty, its just his total lack of pace that's a worry.
One thing i've been wondering, how has Maloney got on for you lot. We were linked with him just about every transfer window when we were in the Championship (and even the summer before last in the Prem).
We've barely seen him yet, most of his appearances have been from the bench and almost all were in formations that didn't really suit him. Our set pieces are better with him on though.
Wonder how many people hoping we play a weakened side in the hopes of boosting our chances of promotion on the weekend were slagging Bruce off for playing a weakened side in the Europa League in the hopes of boosting our chances of survival?
We play in the League Cup every season, the Europa League was likely to be a once in a lifetime opportunity, they're very different.
Making the Quarter Finals in the League Cup is something we've never done in our history. I think that qualifies as something that is potentially a once in a lifetime opportunity. For someone so intent on protecting our history you don't seem to keen to create it.
Obviously I want us to win tonight, I'm just saying that the 4th round of the League Cup isn't as big a deal for us as playing in Europe.
