Pep Guardiola wants a move to London at the end of the season apparently. Could it be the end of Jose? http://www.givemesport.com/651748-p...ok&utm_medium=Paid-Social&utm_campaign=651748
Talk of Pep is pie in the sky - things as they stand at the moment we'll be lucky to scramble a top 4 place; with that in mind no CL no top drawer manager. Even so I can't see Roman putting up with this circus for much longer - the results are frustrating but the off field antics are starting to take their toll.
This. Even Jose cannot write a perfect script if he wanted to write. Circus it is. Need to end. I will take Allardici if need be, heck we won't be in this position under Allardici.
Can't see Pep coming. It's too much of a job. He'll take an easier job like City. Still don't want Jose gone but if something happens in the next few weeks (or if people like Stan want him gone), who do you want in? Who is realistically available? Carlo? Though I would want a younger man myself. Klopp would have been ideal.
It's an easy link for somebody to write. We're struggling, his contract is almost up and he's been linked to this league for several seasons. He isn't our sort of manager and I can't see him wanting to come. I'd personally like Simeone if (or when) Mourinho goes. Or even take a punt on Emery.
I agree. Pep links are lazy journalism. Though I wouldn't be adverse to the man myself if he was available and jose was sacked.
Pep doesn't come across as the type of person who would want to work for a club like Chelsea. He would have to win the double just to get a vote of confidence. Think Moron and CFC are a match made in heaven
For the hundredth time - Don't read between the lines and misquote me. I don't want Jose gone. I have always maintained that Jose is arguably the best PL manager. Carlo & Pep will be a downgrade. Simeone will be the only one I think at this moment will be decent replacemnent. I just suggested around week 2 or 3 - that Jose's position has become untenable. It is never a question of 'IF' but 'WHEN'. Sooner he moves on better for all - Simples.
So you never said '**** off Jose' then? I must have dreamt it. Not really sure on what basis you hold Simeone in higher regard than multiple C.L winners like Pep and Carlo but it's all opinions of course.
For me anybody who can win a La Liga title with a side that isn't Real or Barca is a genius. Minutes away from a European cup too. I just think he suits us more than Guardiola does. His teams always seem quite organized and hard to beat and I think his style suits the league more than Guardiolas would. Matter of opinion of course but that's my reason behind it.
It's important for the manager to suit the persona of Chelsea. Pep is just a lazy choice. The following may not all be big names but they will bring success and build the club imo. Hecking Favre Koeman Joachim Low Emery Simeone De Boer I'm beginning to think there are far too many of the same tired old big names being banded about at every club, and ppl are afraid to look for the next Mourinho - and I dont mean the person, but moreso the seasoned manager capable of stepping up and doing great things with world class players (and money) at his disposal.
You're goading the wrong red, Treble hates Van Gaal! Moyes was a car crash though. He'd lost the dressing room (Vidic, the captain, announcing in January that he was leaving at the end of the season was the end as far as I'm concerned) and wasn't strong enough to get it back. As lukewarm as I am about LVG he has got United into a better position. Yes I know he's spent, and wasted, a lot of money but so have other managers who have failed to achieve the minimum requirement.
I wasn't being ****ish..it was a genuine 'ahh but..what about' kind of question. He certainly wasn't given long enough to overcome a slump. However back to Chelsea problems. You two United fans are doing a great job of keeping the Chelsea board up and running.
Someone has to keep the place tidy until the fair weather Chelsea fans swagger back. And they'll definitely be back as soon as they have a reason to swagger!
Good post. However if Roman truly wants to go down the route of over hauling the playing style, Pep is widely regarded as one of the more expansive managers in playing style - albeit having managed 2 brilliant Barca and Bayern sides. With say Simeone, there is a worry that he'd bring even more defensive 1-0 type football with him. His teams are very hard working and disciplined but rarely exciting to watch. He has to do that at AM given the recourses but a Chelsea manager perhaps could aim higher?
To be fair, it was never that busy even last year!! Traffic has picked up a little now your United team isn't completely ****e though. Only took another 150 million spending spree as well
