The fact that it's even being debated (and some neutral commentators have also said it was a correct decision so it's not just red and white glasses) means that it shouldn't be rescinded. Technically, they are only suppose to uphold the appeal if the referee made an "obvious and clear mistake".

On the contrary, I play 5-a-side, 7-a-side and 11-a-side. Being 5 foot 8 and 10 and a half stone I know more than most what contact will do to a player who is running. And I can categorically tell you that Coloccini's contact would be lucky if it made me fall over, never mind fly across the turf like Steven Fletcher did. So it is you who is displaying a distinct lack of experience of playing the game

 

Is there a difference really? It may well be football in 2015 but that doesn't make it right. Anyway I'm pretty sure all I said in the beginning was that Colo was daft and then made a tongue in cheek comment like "however, Steven Fletcher would get a bronze at the olympics for the way he reacted". Well as I'm fourteen and a half stone and six foot tall, and also play regularly, I'm better placed than you to know what it's like when a full grown man is barged into going full pelt. Me and Fletcher would probably look quite similar physique wise stood by side, you'd look more like one of the ball boys.

How do you figure that? We both play football. I am the size of the footballer we are discussing whereas you are much smaller. Therefore I feel it's a valid point that I probably understand the specific situation better.

You are talking ****e. I play with lads ranging from smaller than me to 6 foot 5 and if any of them fell over like Steven Fletcher they would get laughed off the pitch by every single man. I'd wager 99% would agree with me. If you play with a bunch of ****ters then fair play to you but don't expect me to sympathise with your point of view as I can't relate to that I'm afraid.

You're the one talking crap but why change the habit of a lifetime eh. I suggested you may not play football because I was trying to get a handle on how you could have so little awareness of how momentum works but it turns out there is no reason I can identify.

The penalty was given simple as that, was it wasn't it that's wot football is all about opinions. That's all Newcastle fans seem to be going on about wot about the other 2 goals. You can't see into the future so you don't know if the game would of panned out the same way with you on top. It's just sour grapes if we had dominated and they had smashed us 3 0 would they care would they ****. Fletchers pen was 50/50 Taylors dive a few seasons ago was never a pen 100% but you were happy to take it and rub it in.
