Article suggesting that Liverpool should be worried that Southampton looked the same as Liverpool at a fraction of the cost. Some talk about our youth scheme....though they have failed to notice that its harder for youngsters to get in our team now. The author suggests they need a Les Reed figure....well you can't have him.

 

Good. In that case I'll look out for him in the future on any further 4pm matches we play.

 

He does midweek games like League Cup as well. He did the Arsenal away game when we won 2-1 last season.

 

Oh yes, so he did. I remember listening to that as well after watching through the 90 minutes. Blimey, that was a cracking game. Saints played ever so well that night and made it a great match.
As you've probably guessed by now, it's not unknown for me to watch the 90 minutes and, if we've played well, to listen to the radio commentary at a later time when I can do with the distraction.

 

Wasn't Alan Green the one who upset Ferguson a few years back? For that alone, I like him but I really enjoy listening to him too. He seems to speak his mind (as much as anyone can on the BBC) and he does seem a bit of a Saints fan on the quiet.

Yes, he mentioned Davis yesterday, something along the lines that he's the only "star" in the NI team - meant in a complimentary way not that he's a diva

It reminds me of the sort of thing they used to have in the Football League Review many years ago. Only the right oldies will remember that.

 

I think Pelle looks very smart and has a lovely smile, but not sure he is technically the best looking. But then neither is Fonte (can't believe I said that). Sometimes it's just the overall person.

Didn't Mane get voted the ugliest player on an American poll? Really weird....wouldn't put him as best looking, but he has a pleasant face.
