To be fair, we've moved on to the point where getting a draw at Anfield is not really news. Good though we look these days, I found myself almost bemoaning the loss of the Liverpool Football Club as most of us know it. They were a mid table side at best and yes, had we played to our usual standard we would have won. So from that point of view I can see why everyone is talking about Liverpool not us.

That actually makes a lot of sense, when you think it through.
Who best to advise on how to cause problems, for a goal keeper from set pieces, than another goal keeper.
We won near enough everything in the air, and if VVD had gone across the goal, instead of near post with his chance, Mane was on hand for a tap in.

Also helps when JWP is on the pitch as he is by a long way the best dead ball delivery

Just looked at next few league matches...Bournemouth, Sunderland, Stoke, City and Villa...really need to get near maximum points out of these games. The problem is that Saints don't always do what you expect against struggling sides.

I did enjoy Graeme Souness' comments, post match, about the club having to give Klopp more money, for new players, as there was no sell on value for Liverpool's recent signings.

Draw was a fair result. I've always been open about the fact I like Southampton, seen you play many, many times. I've lived just down the road in Weymouth for over 10 years so I've seen you go through some great times.

Bit disappointing to see how easy it was to catch a few fish yesterday though :D

All the best for the rest of the season lads <hug>

Fan complaining abut a seat at Anfield with no view of the pitch....we had some limited views at the Dell, but this looks pretty awful. Really shouldn't be allowed to sell seats like this. It is possibly aggravated by people standing, probably because they had poor views. You have to watch out for this in old theatres, but wouldn't expect it in a PL football ground.

Oh yes we had something similar last season. It really is a joke that they can sell seats with a view like that, let alone for £45. Disgraceful.

Mrs S isn't a fan either. She moaned about his inappropriately long hair when he arrived and now its too short. Tough audience !

Didn't mind his long hair and hairband....though only foreigners can carry it off. That switch on top is a dreadful style....I blame Pelle.

I wouldn't expect it anywhere that charges for the privilege. "Restricted view" my arse. It really is a joke to put people in seats like these, there must be someway to get some sort of redress out of it surely? I would be raging if I ended up with a view like that.

It makes this one at QPR a few seasons ago look positively panoramic

It's disgusting that you can have views that restricted, but the difference in price is only about £1-£2.

I'm not going to go to loftus road again for the view that's on offer and the prices they charge. I didn't get a seat as bad as the one pictured, but it wasn't far off. Though there was a certain comedy value to see a player disappear behind a post with the ball and re-remerge without it.

Sadly, because they've labelled the ticket as restricted view there is no legal recourse. A targeted social media campaign might shame some clubs into dropping prices for these seats or not selling them at all

I had a view at the Dell with a post to one side....players would disappear from view and the crowd would go wild....everything seemed to happen behind that post.

Today I was doing some rather boring work so, because it was all quiet, I decided to listen to the match commentary from Radio 5 on yesterday's match while I toiled. Besides, I do find Alan Green quite entertaining, because he'll say things other commentators won't say. He's not afraid to openly criticise a referee's decision, or say that a player has made an awful mess of something. Likewise, he'll praise when praise is due.

Having watched the whole match last night I could also somewhat add pictures to his commentary, and it turned a boring PM into a moderately entertaining one. There were two things he kept saying, to co-commentator John Hartson, which were 1] Southampton look the more dangerous side, and 2] Southampton are the better team here... which was quite astonishing because that was exactly what I thought, despite Liverpool's greater ball possession. Benteke apart, our general quality was better. Other commentators during Sunday were grudging in their appraisal of Saints, but not Alan Green. Called it as he saw it. And he saw the same as me.

Alan Green is my favourite commentator for the reasons you've stated above. I hope NI get England at the Euros - that would be interesting!
