I know it's depressing to think of 6 defeats in a row, but the last two games we played excellent football, and we didn't role over yesterday, we were done by poor refereeing, and arguably the mistake of one player.

We had Sunderland pinned down for the majority of the first half, and is was only a matter of time before we scored, and they had to come out of their comfort zone. The pen and red card completely changed the game.

I'm going to take the positives. McClaren looks like he's got a good formula now, and he got his tactics spot on vs Sunderland and Norwich.

We can play good football, and the players are trying hard. We're starting to look deadly on the counter.

We have a tough game at home to Stoke, bouncing back is essential, and I think we can do it.

    HOWAY THE LADS.

Pretty much agree with all of this. We still need defenders of course but otherwise we're making progress at last.

We've shown a lot of positives of late.
    We'll be okay I reckon.
The nightmare run is over now so hopefully points will follow.

Stoke will be an important game, but they don't score often, so I think we can win.

We should have what it takes to rip them apart. It will certainly settle nerves if we do win.

2 wins from 3 would be a great return, especially seeing as it wasn't our fault we lost the second.

I genuinely think we will win this one.... and comfortably.
The players owe it to themselves, and to us to maintain their high recent standards.
Here's hoping Stoke will be epic.

Sometimes you get your players coming together after games like that, you'll maybe develop some form of pack mentality... your players could bond more due to feeling collectively shafted.

Or you could get bummed by Shaqiri and co <ok>

I think the defeat will spur them on. We had that game in the bag before the red card. The only thing I can really fault was the failure to put the chances away. It's a big 'if', but IF we had scored in that first half, the floodgates would have opened. We didn't though and we can bleat on about the red card as much as we want, but the record books will show a defeat.

I think we will push on and get the points needed. The one thing I think is certain - You can pretty much sense the feeling of anger and 'injustice' coming from our camp. They will be looking to put that right for the rest of the season. It could work in our favour from now on. Another thing that is probably a given. Come March, our players most likely will be up for a derby more than ever. Small matters aside though, I think we will be fine. Strengthen the defence in January, get a good holding midfielder in and we can be positive for the rest of the season. McClaren has shown in his last two games that tactically he is far more astute than previous managers/ coaches. You can see what he is trying to do and there are glimmers of some fantastic attacking football under the surface.

One thing that pleased me yesterday was McClaren found his nutsack. When it all went tits up, having had no luck, it would have been easy to sit and sulk with your head in your hands. He has been a bit like that early on. This time he was out on the touchline shouting encouragement with his staff. There was a bit of togetherness and fight. I can relate to that attitude so and find it easy to take the defeat on the chin knowing they are going to be doing their upper most to put it right.

That will pull the players together, along with the sense of injustice and I reckon we might not be the easiest team to play against next weekend.

What is his obsession with you?
He's always on here on the wum that kid. I don't give him the time of day and never have. He's just an irrelevant poster who tries to wind people up. Just ignore him and he will take his pissing and moaning elsewhere.
    Though he was banned anyway?

4 points in the next two games is essential. Anything less and I fear for us.
