My Middlesbrough supporting uncle in law has said that they are taking 10,000 to Old Trafford this week, and the ticket prices ranged from £45 - £55. Cracking support from Boro, but they are a bit miffed at the price they are paying.

 

Bearing in mind RK's, Sir Les's and RK's regular statements that Saints will be concentrating on the cup's, I would be very surprised if we see anything but a 1st XI similar to yesterdays game with Mane (soppy git - suspended) being replaced and anyone else who is carrying a knock

 

For a League Cup match, that's pretty disgusting ticket prices from Utd. When we went to the Emirates last season the Arse charged £10 for adults.

 

And they only charged us £25 for the league game where Liverpool, Chelsea, City and United fans got charged £60.

We're so small, they hadn't noticed we are in the Prem now. £25 compared to £60 is just ridiculous though.

 

Our fantastic pricing policy is reflected by the ticket sales as there doesn't seem to be many seats left although I am nice how many Villa fans will turn up to see this game

Sell-out for a League Cup game is fantastic. Ron will play his best team. He always says it, he always does it.
Clasie needs more game time, I could see Gaston getting in for Sadio, I currently prefer JWP to be defensive midfield or wing, I don't think he's as effective in the hole so maybe Gaston to play there? If Stek is rested I hope Gazzanigga gets a game, otherwise I'm not sure why we have him.

Can someone explain the extreme love for Gaston I'm not knocking it but I don't really get it
Mind you if he becomes the star he was once tipped to be I will get it then

 

Can't explain it myself...the player has such a lot of goodwill directed towards him. We want him to succeed, though we realise it's a bit late now. He's a decent lad with the talent, but not the character/physicality for the EPL.

 

It took so long to get him we just long for him to succeed

McQueen, Sims & Barnes are the main players missing. Could be just injury or potential involvement on Wednesday. I doubt involvement tonight would exclude a player from the bench on Wednesday.

 

Why would Koeman suddenly involve youngsters? It's not going to happen.
