Agree with every single word! They are ranting on here and on facebook saying "we were the better side" but goals win games! We scored and they didn't regardless. McClaren got them the point at your place with his management but he ****ed it up at ours!! It's amazing how we win 3-0 this week and everyone points out how bad we were (press etc.) yet we were no worse than Newcastle last week against Norwich when everything went for them and they were fantastic! Should've had a penalty against them at 2-3 which might have made things much different as it would've had to be a red card too but they all forget that one and the massive difference that probably made to the outcome of that game! As one of the lads on here already said - there was only one moment in that entire game where I thought "Oh ****" and that was when Mitrovic turned inside Coates - but Pantillimon made a fantastic save. The game was never really edgy from a SAFC perspective as they had loads of the ball and did nothing with it.

I didn't watch the whole game mate, just some highlights and the controversial incidents. Think Cattermole got lucky just before the penalty, the ball hit his hand and his other hand appeared to poke GW in the eye! You can't have your arms flapping around like that inside the box, 10 seconds later the game was over for Newcastle.

From what I watched, both teams should be ok this season if you can add a couple of players each in January. Villa though, they're ****ed, ****edy ****ed. **** **** a duck ****edy ****ing ****ed. <ok>

Think you've brought it on yourself, fella. You make disparaging remarks about people (against forum rules, I might add) they're going to throw it back. The returned insults aren't directed at your child. They're directed at the child's father; the bitter **** who's been slagging everyone off because he's a big baby himself and can't handle losing a game of football.
    Now jog on

See I would have felt hard done by if that were given (oh, the irony).
Whine-al-dumb spun Catts with a great flick but Catts right arm was by his side when it made contact with his hand, it's natural position and only a couple of yards away from where the ball was kicked. He instinctively draws both arms back (like every player does when he's trying not to get pulled up on something, be it handball, bodily contact etc) and as a result brushes GW across the chest and he goes down like a sack of reclaimed dutch coastline. He would never have gotten on the end of it (neither would fletcher at the other end imo) so correct call as far as i'm concerned.

I think that's something we can all agree on, they've been claiming to be a heavyweight club for far too long. They need a miracle to avoid relegation I reckon, not a manager but a young kid who can come out of their youths and score them 25 goals... their squad is awful.

Way too much analysis mate. I was just saying he got lucky with it, on another day it'd have been given and we've all seen them given at some point (probably for Chelsea).

He should get it mate, they've got nothing to lose by offering a club legend a crack at it and letting him build from the bottom up when they go down.

I don't see a single character in their entire squad who can be their 'fighter' they should have signed Joey Barton.

Their squad is the worst in the league.

Yeah that's basically what he said. Plus, he knows the club inside out.

    Steve McClaren:

"We were the better side by a distance. We controlled it, created chances and never looked like giving away anything at the back. Even with 10 men in the second half we still controlled it. Referee decisions are out of your control.

"It was never a penalty. The penalty and red card was a double whammy. In the first half the team were excellent. I was totally relaxed. We were in control. I said to players that's what we must continue. If we continue doing that and get decisions right then we'll do OK."

Please explain to me then, Schteeve, how the **** we had 3 shots on target and scored 3 goals when you didn;t look like giving away anything at the back? You created one clear cut chance in 90 minutes which our keeper saved - the rest were long rangers and hopeful efforts. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Deluded like the rest of them

Dwight won't change their fortunes, he won't get the job either way but even if he did, he'll take them down. They gave the job to the wrong guy after Lambert, they needed a bloke in who would build a new Villa, but he never, he just bought willy-nilly and it was always about Tim Sherwood being centre stage.

They'll struggle now, they need fight from a team with no fight in them... there's only one man for the job.

Nice guy, we love him obviously.

Agree re the penalty. Great point about Kompany and him doing it, would undoubtedly have been highlighted on MOTD as great no-nonsense defending.

I'm on the fence over our tactics. We had a few glaring chances to equalise at 1-0 and if we had done so everyone would probably be applauding McClaren's attacking attitude. TBH I won't ever criticise a manager for deciding to be offensive and go for it, another day it might have worked.
