Dear Mr Ashley, McClaren and Newcastle fans, As I was working yesterday and had no access to the match it wasn't until after full time, that I found out the result, 3-0 I couldn't believe it, we must have played the Mags off the park. Imagine my surprise when I got home and read media reports that suggested it was your team that had all the possession and should have won. I then checked the stats, your team had over 20 attempts on goal with eight on target, that nasty Mr Pantillimon saving all those shots, I will ask your old manager Mr Allerdyce to put him on the naughty step for the rest of the, week. Then I noted we only had three shots on target which your nice Mr Elliott managed to let into the net, that was kind of him. I then found out that the nasty referee spoilt the game,, dispute the rules Steve just couldn't understand his decisions, so I take it MR Madley will not be receiving a Christmas card from you this, year. I then trolled this forum only to find lots of your fans visibly upset at yet another 3-0 defeat, how long is it now since your club have actually managed to score in a Derby match, the minutes are ticking away. I would just like to finish by saying you are all doing a great job, it's no one's fault that you keep losing to your nice neighbours down the road and I would like to wish you all the luck for the, rest of the season cause I think your going to need it. Keep up the good work Steve, it's just a pity you can't play Norwich every week. Kind Regards, Cumbrianmackem.
Very good, I would have added at the end " and even more of a pity that we can't play you every week" I was at the match yesterday and I will admit that the penalty was a penalty but not a red card offence. Apart from that I am amazed at the pundits and newspapers reaction to the win, and I wonder what the headlines would have been had the roles been reversed, something like " Newcastle absorb Sunderland pressure for the first half then finish them off with a clinically convincing performance in the second half"
They did play very well though, and the red was a game changer. Had you had one of your players off for that offence you would be raging! A massive three points, so you should definitely revel in the result, but 3-0 was very flattering. But I have to add, it was never in doubt.......6 in a row!
you're so right there Billy, I watched that game, at 3-2 the mags were clinging on...could have gone either way, the 4th goal killed them, then Norwich capitulated..I feel that score papered over some glaring cracks in their side.
No it wasn't - they were awesome against Norwich and shouldn't have had a penalty and a red card at 3-2 against them. They were just sublime with their passing and moving - they must have been - all of the press said so!!
I listen to talkshite every Sunday going to and from my gigs if I'm playing - I played last Sunday night and they were waxing lyrical about Newcastle's demolition of Norwich. not a single word about Janmaat's blatant foul at a pivotal moment in the game (100 times worse than Cattermole's tiny little arm on the shoulder of Georgini Falloveralot!) yet not a word about it!!. This week - exactly the same people on exactly the same station are going on and on about a game changing decision which cost Newcastle. In a game that looked very little in difference to the previous week's game where one team was bossing possession and the other taking their chances - but this week we're ****e and they're still great? Amazing how biased people appear to be and how they only seem to see what they want to see
