Yep, Lucas was easily your best player in my opinion.

I also thought that Lallana (your best player offensively) and Skrtel (gave Pelle no change) had good games, and certainly should have been ahead of Benteke in the MOTM pecking order. Moreno's total lack of an end product (be it a cross or a shot) ruled hit out of the running.

What does everyone think of Jordy so far?

 

He's doing just fine. Getting used to it all, getting fitter and getting better. He'll be a quality player for us, no doubt in my mind.

 

Saw him starting to look like Harry Reed today so hopefully he'll show us the attacking mid side of his game and we'll be laughing.

 

Well that's at least 2 people who like him. So I like him.

 

I like him. Would prefer to see him slightly more advanced but he did fine today alongside Victor.

 

I can only speak for myself and I think he looks promising, talks a good game, would like to see a bit more meat on him! Time will tell how good he will be, but they could be good times. Not exactly a Spider replacement but Vic is doing that, I reckon Jordy will be there to pick up the shrapnel after Vics depth charge tackling, could be a good partnership in the making.

 

Was obviously a fairly fluid system today, but I thought Tadic played too often on the right for me today.

I seem to have been watching a different match to some of the guys on this site?

 

A few stray passes, but what I liked was his passes had a purpose. Not any crab like keep ball. There was also a good organisation in his play. Already I saw some of those leadership qualities.

A case for more gym time. He was swatted away rather easily. Remember one passage of play where a Liverpool player brushed him off and then promptly got out muscled by Sadio

 

Wow. How on earth did so many people bite when the scousers were clearly messing about? Incredible.

Decent result today. Quite pleased that a point at Anfield seems almost par for the course at the moment.

 

Sadio may be small but he is very muscular, think he is actually quite powerful. Agree Jordy looks a bit lightweight, he must have been standing in a hole at the post match interview as jwp was towering above him.
