I'd never call Sturridge lazy but Origi tends to give up balls easy and once it's taken he doesn't try to win it back. Or when a ball is in a 50/50 position he doesn't chase it. That part of his game bothers me more than the tactical shortcomings.

Claisie and Wanyama has the makings of a very good partnership.

Sooner we get Hendo back or sign another CM to partner Can, the better

Coutinho doesn't exist without Sturridge. As for Origi, can't make my mind up with who was worse Origi, Ngog or Babel.

As soon as Origi does anything praiseworthy I'll praise him. As long as he is lazy and cringeworthy I'll criticise him (and have every right to).

Lucas had plenty of poor performances but you could always see something to his game. Same with Kuyt early on... and Henderson, Crouch, etc.

Some players start poorly for us but you can see the hidden quality. There is nothing about Origi's game that says potential star. There is absolutely no reason to pretend he is a misunderstood star.

Clyne really needs to sharpen his attacking play. Incredibly poor in that respect this season.

Lucas been very solid again today. Winning plenty of tackles and passing nice and crisp forward <ok>

Pretty much Sumer up Skrtel on the ball earlier, didn't have a square pass to Sakho on so just chipped it forward to no one. Got a couple of decent blocks in today so far though.

    Never said he would/could be.

I simply say to give the kid a chance, which very few around here seem willing to do. His world cup performances were very good, which is the reason we bought him.

I don't think N'Gog ever deserved as much criticism as he got. Certainly not good enough but worked hard and did contribute a little. Babel's main problem was ego. He thought he was better than he was. Babel had his moments.

Voronin is probably the more equal comparison but Voronin had much greater experience.

He's been brilliant this season. The lad can attack and defend, contrary to popular belief.

Milner putting in the effort again. I think a goal from him will do him wonders.

Dont think anyone's saying he can't attack and defend just that last year he was pants and you can't argue against that. Might have been de to being in back 5 etc but fact remains he wasn't brilliant.

Glad ad he's doing well now, just a shame benteke isn't able to get on end of his deliveries.
