I didn't think it was a pen live but now I've seen a replay, it ****ing was. Ref was shocking and was in our favour throughout, I'll admit, but for all the ball you had you never looked like scoring bar Mitrovic.

I wouldn't expect any of you to agree with me, but I don't think the penalty was clear cut. I can understand why it was given though. For me it was one of those situations where one set of fans will always want the pen and the other will always feel hard done by if it was given. I obviously had my black and white specs on but I saw it as a shoulder charge. Others will see it as a barge. No way should it have been given as a red though. However, it was and we have to roll with that.

 

I wouldn't want respect from a clown like you, keep it. 6 in a row.

 

Sorry just sounding off its a gutter losing any match let alone a derby especially 6-0 I just can't stomach it! I'm sure you know how I feel not more recently of course. But to lose a game like that when for once we have shown up in a derby and to have that taken away from one officials decision is gutting. I'm sorry for the childish slurs and abuse I'm just gutted that's all

You need to be within playing distance of the ball to legally shoulder barge. You are also not allowed to use your elbow (which coloccini did) at the match I thought we were lucky to get it, seeing the replay it looks a stonewall pen.the only debate I'd have is whether it was a red

 

I'd be worried about the team having so much dominance and looking so unlikely to score. Pantilimon was awful first half but you never looked like scoring when you were well on top

 

Seems everyone missed AJ running the length of pitch to celebrate in front of Toon fans.

Mind, they deserved that, every game the songs about him are endless, none of us will defend him if guilty.

I still think it is 50/50 and the type of challenge you see go unpunished on many occasions. Doesn't matter now though. The ref gave the pen and that is what matters. You took your chances and we didn't. The team that puts the ball in the net most often deserves to win.

Never said we weren't fortunate. But it looks a stonewall penalty on to to me. I thought it was unlikely we'd get it when it happened. But, having seen the replay, it looks a definite pen. Nothing to do with class. Maybe you should sho a little class in defeat to us. Surely you're used to it by now?

(Oh and I agree, we were fortunate that Coloccini was an idiot and decided to play the man when he had no real reason to)

 

Don't get the people saying " it was a penalty but never a red". If it was one, it has to be both, he denied a clear goalscoring opportunity.
