Now there's alot of points in there, including racism if I read it correctly (if) you appear to be saying white on black,I've lived in a predominately black country and it was violently the other way around.
Also other people than the groups you have mentioned feel the need to commit suicide unfortunately.
Not looking for an argument but statements need to be balanced.

I always hear this argument, but we are not talking about other countries, we are talking about a supposedly civilized and enlightened first world country.

Things have moved on so much in such a short time. A few years ago a player might have to consider what impact his sexuality becoming public might have on his teammates, his club, his sponsors and his supporters. I think that none of those things should be an issue today. The fact remains that not one player in the entire football league is known to be gay. At some point, someone will be known to be gay, either by announcing it or being outed, and the reaction will be "so what?"
I am impatient for that to happen so that threads like this seem irrelevant. As for the crowds, there will no doubt be a few idiots who will try to stir but is it up to us supporters to let them know how unpopular they are and the FA could fine clubs for not controlling this. It wouldn't be a problem for long I believe.

I don't know if those were your words Beefy or you were quoting the article you linked at the end, but either way the sentiment is there and this is one of the most heart felt posts I've read on an Internet forum. So well said sir.

Not my post but how I feel. I would have written something like that if I wasn't dyslexic, but would have ended up messing it up.

The truth is that there is a significant homophobic core out there in society. Yes, Britain is tolerant, compared to many other countries where it is taboo or illegal to be a homosexual (in some countries male homosexuality is illegal but female not...) but when you hear people calling someone an effing ***got in the street because of their appearance then you do wonder.

The problem is that people do judge on first impressions and there will be some level of discrimination in society whatever we try and do.

You know very well that is not what i'm saying. Racism is wrong in any form from any colour or creed.
You appear to be arguing that because there are Black racists in other countries, we shouildn't denegrate it in our own.

Nothing shows how intolerant a world we live in than its treatment of grammar and spelling on the Internet.

I'm sure you still would have got the core of the message across in your own worms

You said it fella, to be honest though I don't think it's my colour, sexuality or accent that makes them dislike me, they seem to dislike life in general :D

You know what I could easily use your first sentence to counter your third.
This is another of those impossible conversations which face to face wouldn't be a problem.
I hereby shake your hand and agree to (slightly) disagree.

Luke Shaw has had to deny it is him....this is what I was afraid of when the two men didn't name themselves straight away. They'll be identified soon by process of elimination.
