This fecking match will be the death of me . I went to bed 2 hours ago after a night on the lash. Now im wide awake with a million thoughts on how todays match will pan out. On the plus side, ill be having a beer on the train with Bri in 8hours.
Even three Tram couldn't get me into a deep sleep. Oh well, At least I'm not going to miss the train! HAWAY! HAWAY! HAWAY!
They kicked in last night alright. Surfing the waves of euphoric semi consciousness. Bless that synthetic heroin
Woke up to the news that one of my lifelong friends died during the night. Red and white through and through. Great lad and only 57. Couldn't give a toss about the match now. Devastated.
Sorry to hear about your buddy Somb. That's awful news. Be strong mate and remember the great times you had together.
Thanks lads. I went to a load of Derby games at Roker with him. He was a well known lad, lovely fellow and I knew they'd never be any bother with him around. Strange, he had arthritis for a long time and the tablets he took attacked his lungs to the effect where they looked like they'd been slashed with a Stanley knife. He was told last year he needed a double lung transplant but he kept putting it off. He was on the waiting list now. Too late. His two sons are season ticket holders. Puts football into perspective.
Sorry to hear Somb, you're right that events like this show us what football really is, a game, just a game. Thoughts with you and his family today.
Sorry about the bad news Sombero, it is Match Day but some things are much more important than footy RIP.
