He is mate, just imo not quite as good as Scholes, who will in 20 years not be remembered by many tbf.
I think he will, I think we just need to wait ten years to realise how good he was when you consider his and Giggs' trophy haul. Beckham shouldn't go down as a legend on the pitch, but off the pitch he's a legend, he uses his powers for good, like Superman!
The difference is. They could do a movie about beckham. So much going on. Scholes would be a ten minute openet as good as he was.
I honestly dont think so mate, there is nowt remarkable about him other then being class at footy. ****ing shout!!! Poster on my bedroom wall
How about we put a level on it that says to be classed as a great you have to an influence on their national team as being a class player in a bought team just reinforces you are a good player but not good enough to influence a whole team. Therefore scratch most of the above and start with Puskas, Pele, Eusebio, Charlton, Beckenbauer, Maradona, Zidane and Cryuff. Taken over a longer lifetime than your's but I find the words "footballing legend" a bit over used to describe talent rather than impact.
Surprised nee one mentioned Cantona like. I still think Bergkamp was underated. Fkn world class he was!
By that logic the Greek squad who won the Euro's are classed above Ronaldo and Messi. If you're having Pele then you have to have Gerd Muller. Best has to be in the list. Schmeichel is the greatest goalkeeper of all time.
