Oh that's right, you're the victim. Don't make me laugh. I make one comment on the back four thread and you and another poster jumped on me. When I explained myself, you then had a go again. Even though I was in no way saying our defence played well. Both of you took me to be saying what you want me to be saying.

But that's right, it's my fault people are quitting. My bad. If only I wouldn't say things that people get defensive about because they want to be the victim.

I would rather we stick with him. I don't think the fragility of the team is his fault.

Not sure I agree with that. If poor form continues we either blame him and ditch him before January so a new manager can make signings. Or we blame the quality of the squad, in which case Neil gets to sign defenders, etc and see what he can do with them.

I agree. A season in the Prem, as such a young manager will strengthen him. Surviving such a terrible run will be experience. We were very likely to go back down. A years experience in the prem will help him. I don't want us to sack him. He would get us up again when we go down.

I'll not bother with Canary call, twitter is bad enough. I guess I'll keep away from this board for a while, if people start making stupid calls for AN and DM to be ditched, I won't be able to keep quiet, best I keep away and not drag my lack of popularity any lower.

Those with an agenda have won, I'll just lick my wounds! :(

i dont see any other candidate at the moment. I think it is the failing of the players at the moment, however i think tactics need to shift as well to better compensate for the things we struggle with as a team.

Mc Nally needs to be more proactive in new player acquisitions however, and that means spending more if necessary than he previously has, and stepping back from the hard bargain stance we might have adopted in the past.

You were responding to me the other night like I was one of those people. Dunno if you saw my reply above or what I've responded to other threads, but I hope you can see I'm not one of the fans who jump straight away to "manager out, Board out!" It's probably why I replied defensively. You thought it was in that pack, and I was aggrieved by being placed in that category.

Has everyone lost the plot or something?

We shouldn't even consider sacking Neil! For who?!

He needs time to sort it out and he should be given it. He has at least earnt that after getting us up last season against the odds after we dropped away.

I think the problem is little old Norwich attracting the players we need to stay up. Come on fellas, we are going through a bad run but let's not start blaming it on the manager just yet and making his position shaky.

I agree Kemp. I must admit that my faith has been shaken a bit, but when you listen to what he says you know he means it:

"I wouldn't say it is worrying times. It is not a nice time, I have never even lost two league games in a row, never mind three. Yes, you are concerned, I'm looking at what I can do to put it right. I'm trying to do everything I can and I'm working as hard as I can and it is about making sure when the lads are on the pitch they do as well as they can."

Yes, we have tough matches coming up, but perhaps that is the test that both he and the team need. It's also a good time for the cup match, so other players get a chance to show what they can do.

I wouldn't say I'm confident at all that we will stay up but right now I'm confident AN is the best man for the job. We would be in the Championship without him anyway. We always try to attack under him even if we often come up short. Back him with funds in the next transfer window and he will keep us up.

As a pant wetter during hootuns time, I won't be entertaining sacking AN anytime soon. Things are gonna get worse before they get better with the fixtures coming up. Come through them with the spirit intact (albeit rumours of Hoolahoops and AN having a bit of a spat) and I think we will survive. There is too much promise in AN for us to even think of binning him anytime soon. If it were to get to 10 defeats, worse and worse performances and obvious disquiet from the dressing room then I might change my mind but I can see better times ahead, and even some really good times if we keep him and build the team he wants to build. I still think he missed all his main targets in the summer and if we can stay up maybe he will have better luck this one.

    Bah!

Whilst I agree with you that calls for AN or McNally are silly Atm, the only thing that would hurt your popularity would surely be this victim complex and silly agenda nonsense.
People are venting some understandable frustration. Most still believe in Mr Neil and I believe that whilst we're in a sticky patch. Fundamentally we have the manager and even the players to turn it around and survive.

    Bah!

i think the smartest thing to do is fire AN as soon as possible.
We should then rehire him immediately to get a new manager boost just before Man city.

    rinse.repeat.Top half finish.

Well someone had to say it. I like old Dave, but quel bollux. That's French for...quel bollux.

As for calls to sack Alex Neil, that's nonsense too, obviously, so why not just say that.

gandy mate long time no see, how are you? And for what it's worth I like old Dave too, seems like this board has gone into meltdown after your 1-0 thrashing today, I really don't think that it will define your season though. <cheers>
