Why is it "great news"? You have to play Chelsea anyway so wouldn't you prefer it under Mourinho instead of someone who isn't in [HASHTAG]#meltdown[/HASHTAG] ?

Your timescale puts his departure just after their last CL group game which seems reasonable if the board are waiting to see if he has qualified or not (currently 3rd)

For once I agree with a scouser. the longer Mourinho is there the better, the last thing you want is to come up against a side who's just hired a new manager, as it usually gives them a short term boost in form.

The best time for him to be sacked would be straight after we've played them, or not at all :biggrin:
 
Who will they hire?

Rodgers? <laugh>

There's nobody around who's leaving half way through the season to fight a relegation battle.

Redknapp might fancy a return to management and he's used to managing in that area of the world when he managed the main team in the area, QPR.
 
I think they'll employ a stop gap manager until the end of the season, and then Diego Simeone will take over in the summer.

Rodgers as the stop gap manager, really isn't beyond the realms of possibility, considering he has strong ties with Chelsea having managed the youth team. Though they are probably more likely to hire from within until the end of the season like they did with Grant and Di Mateo :biggrin:
 
They'd have to continue this form until Christmas for them to sack Mourinho. I can't see that happening. I fully expect them to thump Villa this weekend to ease some of the pressure.
 
To be honest it would be hilarious if Rodgers took over till the end of the season, be very odd - but funny all the same.

Even funnier if he pulled them up to top 4 and got given a 3 year contract <laugh>



Rodgers to Aston Villa is my bet though <ok>

Far too often he needs so many touches. It must be depressing having to watch Falcao being brought on to save the game. In fact I know it's depressing.

Imagine buying Diego Costa thinking he'll emulate Drogba... and then watching him underwhelm magnificently for the last 12 months. I can't see any redeeming features and he's a shadow of the player who enjoyed his purple patch at Athletico Madrid. You cut out the space for him to run into and he has nothing left to his game.
 
Falcao then Pedro. Even Moyes managed the same by goading them into buying Fabregas :biggrin:
