hughes out, we won 3 in a row but sometimes you cant please everyone with limited intelligence, welcome to Nickys Stoke where we support "attack our team when we lose and say nowt when we win". We were poor today and i will admit it, so we move on, seriously you werent expecting us to win every game until the end of the season were you, or were you expecting us to be in the champions league?, all the gear no idea........................
I have to say though, I get frustrated that we have that potential up front yet don't seem to fulfil it! I'm hoping things settle down soon. We keep seeing glimmers of good football but it's still inconsistent. Oh well, not long until our next game.
I missed the game and highlights this weekend due to a wedding, must admit I am disappointed in the result as these games should be a home banker.
As said, the defensive spine is all new and probably not good enough - Shawx will be most welcome but he will not solve the fundamental problem. For all the praise Hughes deserves, he has dropped the ball on this one - massive possession and conceding 2 goals without reply against a Watford - is the result. No point whinging, all we can do is play through it.
Not whiglng Smithers me old chum...just saying. Tis all very well having fantastic talents like Bojan and (potentially) Shakey. But - wot about a punt on a proven goal scorer like Rhodes...look how well Austin and Ings have come on from the Championship!! As for our defence, it will come back and bite us on the bum. I meant collectively as the Stoke faithful mate, not any individual. I keep saying this but the squad does need an overhaul - as much as we have bought in new faces - only a few have made a positive difference over previous players. We've patched and to a certain extent gambled, but not overly improved from Hughes initial changes. I did say previously that I felt this would be a season of consolidation and hard work with a view to the Summer when quite a few players will be out of contract.
a great result last night, the lads dug in and first half i thought we played sone good stuff. Chelsea came out stronger second half as you would expect with the talent they have. Another memorable night at the brit and hopefully we get a better draw in the next round. goaaaarn you mighty potters

Brilliant that Shawcross is back, he is such an influence and I for one will not have so much trepidation about our defence now. Fantastic result last night, had my heart in my mouth when they scored.
I've watched the replay of when they collided; it didn't look like Costa had been punched. Mourinho is just being a knob again.
