He somehow managed to bring Wenger into his post match interview last night. Again. "The referee was weak and naive, it's a big penalty, said Mourinho. His comments, though, will not only resonate with UEFA. Look a little deeper, and you'll realise it wasn't merely a swipe at Skomina. The words 'weak and naive' were the terms used by Arsene Wenger to describe referee Mike Dean's performance in Chelsea's controversial win over Arsenal earlier this season. As pointed out by Mourinho last week, the Gunners manager dodged any FA sanctions for his comments."
Yes. He knows the FA can't do anything, as they've already let Wenger go with the same comments. Taking the piss, but I think it's more aimed at the authorities than Whinger.
Of course the FA can't do **** all this time, as his latest comment were made after a European game. Clearly the sad **** that is Mourinho was itching to deliver this 'naive and weak' comment after the FA fine but he did not get a chance to use that line after the Villa game and therefore test the FA. But it would now be pretty epic if UEFA charge him for the same comment that the FA did nothing about when Wenger made it.
He maybe should have waited for a league game, but he was clearly itching to get that dig in. I guess before it was forgotten.
He's a grown man ffs. The guy needs to get a little perspective. His focus should be on managing his team, not playing childish tit for tat games with the FA.
That's some effort to churn out a few hundred words on such a topic. Slow news day I guess. I especially like the solemn picture of the boy with his father, bravely posing after this awful, awful trauma. It takes great courage to sell the story to the Mail for a few hundred quid.
Has moureen been sent off? Some altercation with the ref in the tunnel apparently. He's proper lost the plot haha
