Game day ! We really do need to win today as we have an horrendous set of fixtures coming up. Lose and we will in all probability be rooted in the bottom three come December. COME ON YOU YELLAS !
Tremendous stuff KIO, good to have this back as my Saturdays are not the same without your match threads. Thanks for the effort. I predicted a nervous 1-0 in the prediction league? A win would certainly give us a much needed shot in the arm after last week and a wafer thin cushion above the bottom three going into the next four of Man City (A) Swansea (H) Chelsea (A) Arsenal (H) where the pragmatic side of me sees only 3 points against the swans, thereby giving us 15 points from 14 games. It is a must win. COME ON! OTBC
Great relief to see your excellent match thread KIO. Makes me far more confident about getting a result today!
Just seen the line-up looks like AN has decided that a bit of a shake up at the back is needed and that persevering with the status quo is not working. I'm not sure that the changes will work long term, but with no clean sheets all season and after last weeks performance it's definitely worth giving another option a try.
Afternoon guys team line up graphic etc. added to the OP, had to turn down a ticket for today's game because my old Dad's not so well and need to be near him. Hopefully there'll be a good stream somewhere. OTBC
Really happy with that starting 11! Wes, Redmond and Jarvis back, Martin back at right-back, and Bennett given a chance alongside Bassong, Brady back at LB. That's really good to see. Far play to AN on selection.
Not surprised Dorrans wasn't started either. He was all over the place last weekend. Big big game for Bennett. This could be his last chance to establish himself in the starting line-up. He's going to have to step up in my eyes, not at all impressed with his positioning last few games I saw him play. Really hard to call this one. We always have goals in us, but West Brom will be hard to break down. If they get a goal ahead could be a stinker for us (again).
Ryan's usually either Injured or recovering from Injury. Really hope we plays well and gets a little run. I think he's got potential if he can just play well enough to hold down a place. Let's face it, if ever there was a time to stake a claim to walk into that back-line, it's now!
COYY! Surprised to see Olsson on the bench and Brady at left back. Wanted to see both as I thought their link-up has been good but Jarvis has been decent thus-far. How will this new-look back four do? Not expecting a clean sheen but I'm going for 2-1! OTBC!
