I genuinely hoped for great things from our current owners.Colin, on CL made a few valid points too, that we were really up to our eyes in it when they came along. Now though.... We have new seats, a new pitch. Mock it by all means, but it needed doing , and Murray failed to keep up the ground improvements when we had money Rolling in from TV in the Prem. Sparrows Lane will get a refit. All to the good of the club.Plus they are trying to lower the outlay, and sorry for the dreamers, but you cannot run a business on a perpetual 7m a year loss. That's the plus side of the account, and you can't deny most of this needed doing.
Now onto the debt side. We instantly lost Kermogant. Powell got the push when he discovered part of the megalomanía that is RD involved being obliged to play substandard players, and refused (Thuram Ulien whatever being a standout). We got in the very competent Riga, and then lost him just when it seemed he was well placed to push on. They failed to learn from january, and bought in more rubbish, plus Bob Peeters. Another disaser, and we changed for Luzón, and limped over the finish line. Again, after being told by Meire we had learnt from our mistakes, we have failed to recruit a decent squad, and are worse now tan last season. Richard Murray told us we would'nt need to undersell our young stars, but the truth is otherwise. So we are now in a relegation battle again, our squad is not good enough, we lost a decent scout in the UK because RD prefers cheaper foreign imports, even though they keep failing to deliver.
The frustrating things are the repetetive mistakes. This guy is supposed to be an industry genius, yet he won't take advice from those with experience. His product (CAFC) is probably worth no more now tan it was, despite all the money he has piled in, given the terrible state on the playing front (the new seats wont achieve much in due diligence) yet we are told he is the owner, and thet's the score.
I want him to sell. I can't influence that in any way, and the Black and White farce seems to me to be without an objective to make it worth while. So I'll suffer, as I always seem to have done with the Addicks. But I'm sort of simplistic. When you **** around with my trust, it goes forever, And thats my view of the current regime. I'm a small cog in the Charlton family, but I'me VERY pissed off.

Sadly Brentford will be a bigger loss than Preston North End. They brought in a new manager and he's got 2 in 2 for them. Would be looking to move them up the league.

They got quite a few good players, dispite selling Andre Gray to Burnley.

If it's 0-5, considering that a miracle. On the upside I'm not going, so can I delegate my "hurled abuse" at Luzon to someone else on here, if we lose?

A Charlton fan posted on social media yesterday that when Douche took over we were 22nd in the Championship. Two years, 4 managers and 40 players later, we are 22nd in the Championship.

To misquote Jim Callaghan, "progress, what progress?"

Interesting to note one of Brighton's best players has been a certain dale Stephens, and a rock in the brum defence Michael Morrison.

"But that's none of my business"

So figures released today pretty much confirm Gomez was £3.5 million. I'm certain KM went on record saying it was more than that?

What have we got for the 21.2 million pound investment? A new pitch and new seats. That is all, as we are still in the relegation zone. Also, £8.6M on player acquisition is absolutely outrageous, considering the dross that we have brought in.

Yep, as Wiggins was reported to be roughly 900k. Absolutely flabbergasting we could only get 4 times as much, for potentially England's next Rio Ferdinand, than what we got for a steady but extremely injury defender who is nearing his late twenties.
Give up on transfer negotiations, Katrien, you are seemingly incompetent. Better yet, hand in your resignation and sling your 'ook

Other chairmen love her as they know they can take the ****, IMO.

I can see what they are trying to accomplish - many fans will just take on board the £21million. Anyone vaguely able to study the breakdown can see a different picture.

A bigger wage bill, but a smaller and a squad worse off.

He's probably pumped in £2millon net in transfers. Not great seeming he's been here 2 years. Again, the squad is in no shape or form, better.

Makes KM look like a liar. Again.

Just goes back to the Richard Murray thing about not selling the youth prospects cheap. Gomez walked into the Liverpool starting XI, and we got 3.5 m? Sorry Katerin, that is a rubbish deal. You need to resign.

3.5 was the first part of the fee, the rest will come with add ons.

Sure - but it's still not what the club was pushing out. Liverpool said the fee and katrien denied it.

£3.5mil is a poor deal. Awful when you see how much players like Roberts moved for.
