My nan died Xmas. She was like a mum to me (my real one doesn't really care about anything). Now a few years have passed I see it as a even better time to celebrate.
Mexican authorities have begun evacuating residents ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Patricia. The storm is comparable to Typhoon Haiyan, which killed 6,300 people in the Philippines in 2013, the World Meteorological Organization says. A state of emergency has been declared in three states in Patricia's path. The category five hurricane is expected to make landfall on Friday afternoon or evening, with winds of 200mph (325km/h). The US National Hurricane Center said Patricia was "potentially catastrophic" and the strongest storm it had recorded in the eastern Pacific or the Atlantic. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-34614864 Damn. So glad we don't get these.
Yikes. I still remember the close shave my family had when we visited New Orleans as part of our holiday in 2005. We missed Katrina by a matter of days.
The problem with the QPR board is that it's full of QPR fans! Thanks! What's everyone's view on this song? It was on my top 100 played songs on Spotify and I hadn't listened to it for a while but I've recently got back into it. I like the 'country-type' sound, and the lyrics. It's a very evocative song. I think it really encapsulates that uncertainty, that challenge and feeling of being lost or trying to find a path to follow potentially felt by someone in their mid-20s.... Something that resonates with my own life. Perhaps I should become a waitress.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/p...orlds-unluckiest-or-luckiest-man-8985292.html What about this man: missed 9/11 by being late, lost his finacee in the Bali bombing, then survived a tsunami.....never go on holiday with this man.
You shouldn't pre-judge PL, that's what SB3 does, they're a nice friendly bunch on there, not like your usual lairy cockneys. They know their music too, I've discovered some great music on there. As for First Aid Kit, I love all of their stuff, very chilled and laid back.
Good idea. Tell you what, I'm not waiting even waiting for a music thread. With the onset of Hurricane Patricia, this is tonight's topical tune. [video]
