Nice idea but I'm sure that if that was done the rules would be changed pretty quickly.

I've suggested to them they leaftlet the area for forthcoming games.
Huge catchment area, high density, lots of potential.
Bring the leaflet to the ground with a coupon on it for a free drink/snack.
So £5 for a game and a drink/snack would be quite appealling.
    Hopefully......

Well given the lack of penalty for breaching it so far, as well as no penalty for not having the appropriate lease in place for a ground, it doesn't look like much of a risk.

Pip PearsonThe issue with a minimal charge for entry on a match day is potentially separate to 'lifetime passes'. Various clubs in the semi pro pyramid offer a 'pay what you can afford' season ticket. I believed there was a minimal charge for all fans without a...See More

I have asked many questions to find a way around it, the ncel will not allow it, season tickets can be sold at a discounted rate, set by the ncel, something we are waiting to find out the discount as a pose to paying full price, they have made it very clear passes have to go

    The rule states:
. The minimum charge to all NCEL Competition matches shall be £4 including VAT. Clubs may, at their discretion, vary the operation of this rule in respect of the admission of juveniles and senior citizens or other concessions as they deem appropriate.

So they're already ripping fans off instead of charging 4 quid. At their discretion for OAp's and juveniles means it could be free.
My heart is literally breaking at whats happening to this club.

I don't think he was the first to come up with that idea.

Have to wonder if something like this is possible. Or even providing a voucher for food/drink with tickets. It seems a bizarre rule. Can't see how it benefits the league or anything and it's not like free entry would give a club an advantage.

Surely the "other concessions" option must give flexibility? Not that I care particularly

I don't know if they've even announced the ticket prices, the £5 was just from a conversation Curtis was having on Twitter last week, he didn't seem entirely sure what the actual amount was.

If you want to watch free football - go and watch the Sunday leagues and stand on the sidelines.

If you want to watch football in a nice environment, in a stadium with stewards, on a decent pitch then you have to pay for it.

Don't think anyone would disagree with that in general. The problem here is that the passes were promised for life, regardless of division. Clearly that was never fulfillable with the league's rules so it should never have been promised. That doesn't seem to be the fault of anyone who's at the club now but I can see why some people feel let down by it.

Which ever party or parties decided to issue free lifetime passes in that respect were either incredibly naïve or incredibly stupid.

I don't see why it couldn't be done if not for the league's rules. It seemed to be working fine.

But if the club has no income stream who pays for:

    Travel exps to away games
    Kits and training equipment
    Insurance
    Affiliation and registration fees
    Groundstaff
    Stewards

    None of it comes free.
