The Ohio State University Marching Band will bring its unique brand of entertainment to the NFL event. Do you reckon it will also herald marching orders for Kit? I know, I know horrible title and horribly biased inference before we’ve even kicked a ball in anger. And so unfair given that we’ve made some solid signings. There is a positive feeling that the Club for a change has a transfer plan; identifying last season’s weaknesses and bringing in “square pegs to fill square holes”. With every prospect of more of the same still to happen. But, and there’s always going to be a ’but’ after last season. And that is, whether Kit has the tactical awareness? Firstly, to play a system that suits the players rather than the one that exists in his ideal world. Secondly, to field players and/or rotate players to combat the attributes of the opposition. The counter argument of course is that, for the first time, this will his team. Or is it? How much has the selection of new players been down to Mike Rigg and Tony ‘Analytical’ Khan rather than Kit? We’ll probably never know the answer to that last question. However the original one stands - will 25th October and 13 games into the new season be a watershed for Kit?
It's possible, another start like last season and he will be out the door, I think as long as we are in or around the top half at the end of October he will be safe
I want to give Kit another go. He deserves it for all he has done for the Club. This is his squad now. The additions have proven Championship experience and together with our youngsters it's a massive opportunity for them all to excel. This close down period seems to be so long. I'm desperate to get back and support Kit and the team. A good start is a must, I'm so looking forward to it.
So here we are one game off the 13 and not quite the fateful ‘vote of confidence’ from Mr Khan after he sat through last night’s game - ”After his side drew 1-1 at home to Leeds on Tuesday night, Kit Symons said he believes he has the support of the Fulham owner. But Khan stopped short of giving him definitive assurances when asked by Sky Sports News today. Khan said: "Our results are what they are but we have to start winning games to start picking up the pace right now. We've had great players, he [Kit] has done everything he can, but I think we need to get more points and move up the table. It's a results driven business. I spoke to a bunch of our fans earlier today and they want us to do better, and we want to do better. We've got some heavy lifting to do but I think we've got the resources to do that." Must disagree COYW When Kit was installed I voiced my opinion that he should be given a chance. well he has been given that chance and with undoubtedly some of the best players in the championship is still found wanting, as previously said the next 2 matches are critical, both for him and the suffering fans.

I think he's a dead man walking. The squad is no worse than that of Brighton or Middlesbrough. I'd love for Kit to turn it round but I just don't think he has the mouse/experience to do it unfortunately. I really do want him to do well. He's a top bloke with Fulham in his blood, I hope he does it.
Yes Kunye, my post was at the beginning of the season and I really did want him to succeed and was happy to give him another chance. I can't see if happening now !! He's been given a good shot at it and to be fair brought in some good talent, but tactically he just doesn't seem to have it and if we continue with him we will waste this season. Thing is who do you replace him with ? .. and after such a poor performance on Wednesday it will be typical Fulham that we then play well on Saturday and beat Reading. With Khan in town they must at least be discussing contingencies.
Indeed who? A couple of interesting polls came out in the last 24 hours. One carried out by the local paper, GetWestLondon, suggested that 86% of the fans want Kit out. And one carried out by the stalwart Mike Gregg couldn't come up with an outright favourite as the new manager. In the 'MG' poll there were originally 24 candidates (including Kit) to select from. The results were: please log in to view this image So among fans there isn't one clear candidate. Arguably Brendan Rodgers 'lost' a few votes because people thought he wasn't a realistic choice. Even with him in the equation though Paul Lambert's name is the one that seems to register consistently high. Would you be happy with Paul Lambert as Fulham's new manager?
Just saw this after posting in the Reading thread, any chance you could send over some lottery numbers C58? I think this is it - I wouldn't be too keen on Lambert personally, unless he's had some life pumped back into him after Villa. Can't see it being Rodgers either - I think Bruce is the most realistic and I would be quite happy for that. How would people feel if I threw Mr M McCarthy into the mix? I'd rather him than Pearson, although I don't think either would be a great 'fit'. One thing we could with is having an organiser come in, a la Roy, and reembed structure and tactical discipline.
Doubt if he'd be interested with Hull now sitting 2nd in the League. What do folks reckon Kit's chances of staying are, after today's great comeback from the jaws of defeat? As GS said in the other thread, 4 games unbeaten. Also highest goalscorers in the League (22), with a positive goal difference (+3). Personally I think Khan had already decided before today's game; certainly if the history of how he's done things in the past is anything to go by. And if it's bad news for Kit, nothing will be said until after the Jaguars' NFL game tomorrow. So watch this space on Monday.
1) The quantitative measure - last 10 games DWWLWLDDDW =16 (after 1 point from first 3 matches). 2) The qualitative measure - A lot of frustration: losing at home to Wolves; throwing away 2 points at Charlton; poor at home against Leeds etc. But the team has ground out away draws and no one expected today's turnaround. The fact is that only points-on-the-board will count - So I think Kit will stay on.
I think Kit will be here for our next game at Bristol City but the next few fixtures will decide his fate, if we put a few more results together maybe 4 points from the two up coming away games I think it will buy him a bit more tine but less than three points from these two away games and Inthink he might go.

Jags have made a very good start today - more games like this and I can see Khan bringing the Jags back to London once or twice a year for the foreseeable future.
Just this last week, the NFL agreed to extend its deal with Wembley to stage at least two games a season at the stadium until 2020. Mr Khan has signed up to one of those games being the Jaguars.
