It's not just about the goals, it's about their approach to play in general, especially at home. They attack teams, give them no time on the ball and knock the ball around confidently. We seem to have some sort of inhibition stopping our players from doing such things.
I dont think you're gonna be pleased with anything Unbeaten at home andv2 wins and a draw from 3 away games If you won a million pounds on the lotto youd come on here complaining it wasn't £2 million Huhh!
Oooh great rebuttle. I'll be happy when the team play like they're supposed to. Remember the game in our promotion season (under Bruce) when we played Leeds? That's what I'm expecting, as our team is far better than our team back then. Or maybe the game against Everton on New Year's Day? Palace away? Chelsea at home (despite the result)? That's our capability. So it's hardly unrealistic to think we can play like that all the time. If we battered a team for 90 mins and only won 1-0, I'd be happy.
But a good defence and a good offence don't have to be mutually exclusive, look Newcastle when they came down, or Norwich under Alex Neill last season.
Thats funny beginning of the season you were saying theres no mugs in this league and we shouldnt be taking teams lightly. Hudders were a good team and we cant just exect them to roll over for us.
The opposition aren't as good as last season's. Well, 21 of them anyway. The opposition aren't going to lie down, you're right, but by all means tell our lads that because it looks like their attitude is "they're not as good as us, we'll win somehow". And that kind of attitude comes unstuck pretty ****ing quick.
Lets just give it a few more games shall we. Where in a good position without getting anywhere near top gear Other teams are at full belt and not pulling away
I'm not expecting the opposition to roll over for anything, of course they're not. I'm expecting us to be better than them, or at least look better than them.
Our last 2 promotion seasons where in average leagues This one is more competitive or are you disregarding our current opposition
They're not exclusive, but in this case, as it stands, our attack & defence are on par or marginally better than the four teams you mentioned. We attack as good as those teams & defend better.
Why do I? I'm not expecting us to piss the league by 40 points, win the FA Cup and beat Brum 10-0 Saturday. I just want my team to fulfil it's potential. It was easier in the league above because expectations were low and most teams were better than us. Now it's the other way around, so why should I change my attitude when the odds of us dominating games have improved?
