If we beat Maccabi and Porto, yes. Four points may do it

"Why have Spurs won a trophy ?"

Because they beat the opposing team(s) .
That is the normal reason a football club wins trophies.

"So what have you won then, by beating other teams ?"

A couple of league titles. A couple of UEFA tournaments.
Some FA Cups. Some League Cups.

Or is the clubs' history a huge sham where we didn't actually play those games ??

"When things were in Colour I meant"

The same reason they were won in 'not colour' ??
Or is there some chromatic variable I am unaware of, that affects the
ability of a football team to win a trophy.

Yes, Spurs seem unable to win a league title unless the TV is in black and white.

"Yes, Spurs seem unable to win a league title unless the TV is in black and white."

Yet the league title is not the only trophy that can be won, or has been won by
    Spurs, is it ??

Yes but we're not talking about second rate tin pots like the Carling Cup are we ? When was your last major trophy ? 1991 the FA cup, although that was in colour I suppose, it's a hell of a long time ago.

I must have more to do with the fact that Spurs are ****, than anything to do with the spectrum of light

    A trophy is a trophy.
To summarise : can I assume that the Goons on this article now understand the
mechanisms as to why a football team wins a trophy ??

We certainly understand the dynamics of why Spurs haven't won anything of note for nearly 25 years <ok>

We'll take that as the answer to my question being "no" in your case.
But feel free to ask anyone you believe to be capable of explaining it to you. <ok>

You can take your assumptions as you please, they make no difference to the reality of the situation <ok>

The reality of the situation is that the Goons on this article do not appear to
understand the reason why a football club wins a trophy.

As to what "reality" you live in, God knows.

The reality of the situation is that we have won two trophies in the last two seasons, so naturally we understand the reason why a football club wins a trophy <ok>

Obviously gooner4ever does not. Perhaps the "we" can explain it to him.
