Well if we start to slide down the table, do we keep him? Forever and ever? Phil Brown once held the title of most successful Hull City manager, you'll notice he's no longer in charge.

He's ours until we sack him or he gets a better offer from elsewhere.

    Afuckingmen.

I said it when we got Bruce I'm happy for him to build a dynasty here. Get Alex on the coaching staff eventually.
Good bloke good manager. Decent honest, tells it like it is. Sorting the Academy out and in a few years hopefully we'll have a production line ofplayers coming through.

I cant believe after a 3-0 win people want rid of him and start spouting the names of "better" managers. Well mebbe i can as we seem to have a lot of **** fans with delusions of grandeur

Getting promoted with a squad that cost the better part of £57m is hardly a delusion of grandeur. Bruce is capable of doing it, the issue lies with whether he actually will or not. The footall we are playing is hardly the stuff of dreams, so it's not surprising there are a few worried fans because sooner or later we are going to come unstuck. When/if that does happen, what do we do? Keep saying "Bruce got us to an FA Cup final therefore he deserves to stay" or get somebody in who can get the job done? So basically, what's it going to take for him to be replaced? Will the Allams forgoe promotion and millions of pounds to stand by their manager, or will they do what's necessary to get their hands on their cash.

Do we want what's best for Steve Bruce, or what's best for Hull City?

Jakupovic to start obviously. We know he'll dust himself down and make a fist of it.

Well Hull City are in the championship and Monk/Swansea are struggling so far this season. Even Steve Bruce has beaten Monks Swans.

Things are nowhere near as bad as some would have you believe.

Bottled it at the first attempt.
Best to wait till after the result and criticise if we draw or lose, less pressure.

Running a consistently good team isn't easy.

According to most on here we should be a permanent premier league mainstay, and if not we should be playing Brazlian like football while we drub teams eight nil each week.

It's deluded. I think the manager gets a rough ride. It could be so much worse, and being a lot better isn't really a given right.

Nah, don't settle for mediocre football, that's the best way, even if it means criticising after a win. Steve Bruce will think the exact same way. Incidentally, I don't want rid of Bruce now, I did say earlier in the season that he should be given until Christmas at least. I just don't think he's infallable.

So what will you do if in five years time we're still stuck in mid table "mediocrity"?

Throw my fifth annual "I was right" party. This year we'll have Brian Eno. I know, I spunked all the cash on a condensed Pink Floyd concert (£500).
