Shearer was a better striker, Cantona was a better 2nd striker than Shearer. Better player? **** knows, both grand masters of their trade.

 

I admit i said some daft things to provoke a reaction, but ultimatley I just think shearer gives alot more to a team than Cantona, Shearer was a leader would get back and put in hard graft, Cantona was prone to acting out and being reckless, some horific tackles, especially on fans.

 

Newsflash, United fan thinks Cantona is better than a Newcastle player who won nothing at Newcastle...

If you want to argue that Shearer was a better goalscorer I have no argument, but that wasn't what we were discussing.

This made me cry with laughter.

I very much doubt you'll find a Newcastle fan who thinks Cantona was better than Shearer, or a Man U fan who thinks Shearer was better than Cantona. Its just not cricket.

I never expected him to agree with me to be honest, he was waffling on about United getting relegated in his dream scenario, so I just did what any United fan would do and reminded him of your glory days and how King Eric put a stop to any actual glory happening.

Me personally I have had some great craic with Billy a few years back. Not so much recently as I don't bother with your board. He is a bit of a loose cannon, will cross many lines, but he's still alright by me. I can't really think of anyone I really dislike on the boards? I know there were some who would annoy, what was the poster called who used to post only in gifs? That was tedious. I think Rog genuinely hated me
