Shame they're at home and not at Rubén Kazan!

If none of their injured strikers are back I'll be reasonably confident, Origi was really isolated in what I saw of the Liverpool v Tottenham game and he still seems quite a raw talent. Thankfully, it's not Klopps first home game in charge either and we should be fresher and have more time to prepare for the game. I'm worried about how optimistic I am about this game...

I think JWP/Davis/Romeu/Clasie for two midfield spots is debatable. Mane on the right, ???, Tadic. Then Wanyama, ???.

Although I personally would pick Davis and Romeu, just as you did.

<laugh> yeah, so I've read. I'm getting on a bit now (as I keep getting reminded by my kids, anyway) and I hope it's just related to name & not the holder! <laugh>

The scousers really seem to think Klopp is the Messiah. But they thought Dalgleish was God, & that didn't end so well. They have a talented squad, but so do we. I reckon we can at least get a point up there.

"This is Anfield". Oh really? No one's that impressed any more.

Need to be clever for this one, play deep and defensive, keep the shape, let them have lots of possession and hit them on the counter. A game for a more defensive set up, along with lots of pace up front - we won't need Tadic's craft.

    I would play:

    Stek

    Cedric VVD Fonte Bertrand
    Romeu Vic
    Davis
    Mane Rodriguez
    Pelle

Thought I'd pop into the match thread, we don't have one up yet because of the Europey game.

You lot seem in confident mood though.

Why would you play Rodriguez? He's blatantly still not ready yet.

Yeah a few are pretty confident, obviously the appointment of Klopp has given you lot a boost and we would rather have faced Rodgers, but we're ready to spoil the party for you ;)

Think Lallana will certainly start, he's suited to the pressing game (though not playing 90mins) and Klopp was talking him up earlier this week.

For me alot of it rests on if we can weather the inevitable early storm that will be coming, if we do, then as we saw last week at Spurs, your defence will gift us chances and then we will just have to take them.

Didn't realise Benteke was back? Do you think he's likely to get nod over Sturridge then?
