Who will be the first Klopp casualty.....

Discussion in 'Liverpool' started by SIR_KENNY_KLOPP_KING, Oct 20, 2015.

  1. He's got a **** attitude imo. Moaning about it and claiming "his position" isn't great but to not put the work load in when given a chance (right position or not) is unacceptable.

Agreed but we don't know if that quote is actually true, hasn't been translated correctly etc either

He took a lot of stick from fans all season so it's fair he can express his concerns about the ex manager - and he's not the only one.

The underlying issue was that we had a manager who was ruining the club.

  4. Not really bothered about the quote because even if true, he's just used the wrong words which is easily a translation mistake. Its the lack of effort that I don't like.

  5. And why did he get stick from the fans?

My heart bleeds mate. Did he get less money for having to play some games at full back? No, so I have little sympathy. It's not like he never got a chance playing further forward is it, he simply failed to impress in every position Rodgers played him. That doesn't mean he's a bad player, I don't doubt BR shifting him around didn't help the lad but nevertheless there's a new manager now and I'm pretty sure if he impresses on loan then Klopp will give him a chance. No need to slate the last guy, just get your head down and impress the new one.

I think we're all agreed Rodgers was mad for playing so many players out of position but the best way of proving anyone wrong who might be "writing him off" is to earn a place in the team then play your heart out....and if the boss (Rodgers, Klopp or anyone else) says I need you to fill in at x, y or z position then you do that to the best of your ability. Accept that you're getting paid a mountain of cash every week to play whichever position you're bloody well told (and that goes for every single player not just him) <ok>

Because he played poorly in an unsuitable position.

  8. Playing poor when first joining a new team in a different country is expected and he would have got time had he given two ****s about trying.

Why do you assume he didn't try? Because he doesn't run around like a headless chicken or put in lunging tackles?

And no he wouldn't have got time because you're forgetting that we had a manager who wasn't interested in giving certain players a chance. He only got a chance in the first place because of injuries.

It's certainly not an assumption on my part. I sat watching the lad stroll around, lose the ball a lot, tackle like a soggy digestive and fix his hair more often than he went past an opposition player. Klopp will love that eh <laugh> The lad cost £20million quid and so far has done little, if anything to justify that fee.

Let's not pretend his chances were that limited, he had 31 appearances and impressed in only one or two (749 minutes before his first assist for us for the stat lovers amongst us).

When you come into a team it's up to you to cement your place. Come in and play poorly then you can't really complain when a manager tries another option. There's no doubt he's a talented player but every talent needs to have commitment too and he's shown little so far. He should take a look in the mirror before slating others for his own form <ok>

Dont think that's an issue :bandit:

  13. There you go again with inaccurate assumption / interpretation.

Putting effort in means you make yourself available to your teammates, you don't stand and watch players run passed you (with or without the ball) and you get back into position if you're playing in a position that requires it.

It doesn't mean they have to be a Luis Suarez or Jamie Carragher

  14. Which is a different argument. the fact is, he got his chance and he wasn't bothered enough to take it.

Let's see how the players get on - I have a lot more faith in Klopp in getting more out of the players because he is known for development and giving youngsters a chance, and if not, I won't question his judgement if he decides to move them on

Totally agree mate and no one is suggesting Marko couldn't be one of those. He's undoubtedly talented and personally I thought shipping him out was a bad idea (as was playing him as a full back). I just don't think a current player should be mouthing off excuses and blaming other people when some of that blame lies fairly and squarely at his own door.

The question LM will have to answer is can he put the effort in and keep that effort up all the time? If he can then he could come back to us as a really useful player <ok>

With a young player it usually means they have a **** manager/coach who has not taught them to stand off tricky players and shepherd them out of danger areas <ok>

I really like Flanno if he doesn't spend his career injured he should do alright.

That said, hes no Vardy<whistle>. But that's ok. He's young playing in a position that tends to favour the experienced. He's not going to displace anyone from the first team when he returns but he's a useful squad member to have.

The question is what does he rate Milner as exactly? I know what I think of Milner, but since Klopp is the all-seeing, all-knowing omnipresent, I bow to his judgement and will shut me gob <ok> <hug>

  20. If we all took that approach them a football forum would be a pretty boring place to be <whistle>
