If it's a patch on the originals it'll be amazing.

 

The team was built around Cabaye. HBA was already good enough but became fat. Ayoze only had 6 months or so with that great set up. A lot of other players have turned into garabge following said coaching set up.
No excuses - he should be given a run in the team. At the end of a suitable period of time (I would give him until the January window - and sod Dummett) - if there are no signs of progress then his potential would be minimal and then you can jack him off.

In terms of pie, I prefer puff pastry (not in the JPF/ACS way)

Think our fans should lay off some of our younger, inexperienced players.

 

What I find hilarious about the hype around this film is that everyone in the entire world (or galaxy?) has overlooked the fact that ALL THREE of the last set were complete and utter turd. Hell, Return of the Jedi wasn't even very good, so there's four crappy films on the bounce and all of a sudden - with two unknown actors who both look like Nickelodeon-style saps - the best movie in the history of movies is going to be made?! Give me a break!

It'll be considerably worse than both Avatar and Jurassic World. Which is saying something. Take Avengers - first one's ok, how can you possibly fck it up? I know - have James Spader quote Pinocchio as a barely-threatening mannequin, with almost identical fighting to the first one but with no cohesion to the comics. Never underestimate how easily Hollywood can decimate a film.

 

I wouldn't say that Jedi was crap. It just wasn't to the same high standards. The prequels though - **** right off with those. George Lucas ****ed up. Phantom Menace was garbage. George Lucas' best film as a director is still American Graffiti...most other things he's touched - ****e.

I'm strictly a hairy pie kinda guy... well shaven hairy pie... which.. kinda makes it an 'ex' hairy pie type of lady gardenage.

ACS has landed a big part in the new movie as a villain called Flabba The Gutt, from the outer rim.

 

Booked tickets. I'm glad the trailer isn't very revealing. It's a sign of a good movie if we don't know that much about it from the trailer.

 

Thought the other 3 were crap and couldn't give a flying f.ck about this one.

 

this and the last trailer have been two of the best ive seen, in terms of getting me hyped up for any film


bit concerned that they have just dragged back the old cast and thrown in some new stuff and are playing it too easy, theres another death star for example, but has to be better than the disturbingly awful prequels. Also not impressed by anything to do with kylo ren, but apparently hes based on the original concept for vader so we will see how that works out. Again though, does point to them playing it too safe. I did enjoy the pic of luke with a huge beard where he looks like a disheveled weirdo.

 

Judging by the tags you are REALLY looking forward to this, Shak.

 

i really like Jedi, not even bothered by the ewoks. It has some really really great bits imo, some of the best in the original trilogy. Boyega was great in attack the block so i refute that nickelodoen slur, but honestly thats all ive seen him in so another definite wait and see.

**** starwars the best bit was when luke returned home see see his adopting parents skeletons smouldering on a furnace and it was all downhill from there.

They got the tone all wrong on the prequels. They were seemingly made for kids but in my opinion they were patronising kids as there wasn't all that gimmicky crap in the originals (for the most part). Anyway, they got better as the trilogy went on and the last one was pretty decent IMHO - the turning of Anakin into Vader and the empire taking over.

I think we all need to remember we are not watching these films through childrens' eyes now, like the original trilogy, and they will never be the same or looked upon with the nostalgia and fondness that we looked upon episodes 4/5/6 with at the time and since. I'm excited for the new film - I think it looks like it has some emotional substance to it and not just whacky characters and special effects - but I think there will be people no matter how good it is who will slate it. I have my tickets booked for an evening show on the 17th.

 

Mr T has said the Rebels will get relegated and sell all of their best X wing pilots.

He loves to jabba on and pounce on any salacious crumb of misery.
