    Trying not to get too excited! Fat Sam's teams are notoriously hard to beat. From what I have seen of Sunderland so far, they look pretty average. I know its a derby, and form goes out of the window, but even saying that, we must have a decent chance of ending our abysmal run against them. I think they will set up to not lose, and hope they can scrape a win. They will start hard for the first 15 minutes and then back off. As it seems we have now become a counter attacking team, this may play into our plans. 0-0 half-time, 2-0 full-time. JOB DONE!! Its amazing what one result can do to your psyche. But the manner of that victory gives me hope for the rest of the season! Lets Keep the Faith, and hope we can replicate the passion and technique we showed on Sunday! HWTL...

    Its a funny old game, two weeks ago I was dreading this one. Looking forward to this now! The derbys are always hard fought games with tackles flying in which I love but we need the lads to keep their heads!!! Just hoping Allardyce hasn't had a chance to sort their defense out yet and the lads have some confidence in themselves after last week! A good performance against them coupled with last weeks result could change our season going forward.

    I love all of our confidence after one good (and slightly fortuitous in some respects) result. In reality I am not confident at all. You have two of the worst three teams in the league currently, and they have home advantage.

    True and I haven't seen much of the mackems but we put in a good 60 mins vs Chelsea, a good first 45 vs City and attacking wise we were great vs Norwich and reasonably solid in defense for the 2nd half so the signs are there we are making progress however painfully slow it may be. Its all about taking the confidence for the players AND fans and using it to our advantage. My glass is always half full <cheers>
