No, I am not referring to a blog; he runs a forum which he says he pays for. Presumably the individual concerned recoups his site fee expenses through various 'privileged member' fees and whatever advertising he may incorporate; not that I'm interested any more. Needless to say, I no longer visit his site.
AG, thanks for the support- I mis-interpreted your original post! Anyway, with the potential for rain this weekend, perhaps the British win drought at the Nurburgring will end!
Good read Stephen Lickorish, Quali looking like a wet/dry affair so their could be a topsy turby grid.
I believe it is hit and miss. Kobayashi was average in GP2, but clearly has talent in F1, Georgio Pantano was very good in GP2 and won it I believe, and he only had that one unsuccessful season at Jordan. I think lower formulas do have relavance but should be taken with a pinch (or handful) of salt.
I don't believe that at all. If they mean nothing, then they would not even exist. Nobody would want to enter them, because they meant nothing. Clearly this is not true. I am of the opinion that they actually mean quite a lot. If you want to be a Formula One driver in the future do you go through the "Lower Formula's" [sic], or just appear in F1? Everyone knows the answer to this already. So, if you've got a whole grid full of young, ambitious guys, desperate to be in F1 all racing against each other, you have, I would say, quite a good way of deciding which drivers are fast and going to make it to F1, and which ones aren't. And especially when one driver beats his team-mate like Di Resta beat Vettel, you have a great way of comparing their talents. (Yeah but Vettel hurt his finger, and was reeeeaaaally busy)
