If we hadn't messed the PSV game up, vanbgaal wouldnhave had the luxury of resting players for this or playing for a draw and focussing on the twats at the weekend.

That's the Russian speciality. Chav chic...

No, the ****ing Russkies get everywhere nowadays. We're in Paris at the moment, and there were a couple in the same shopping centre as us today. I was watching the little one in the play area (whilst the missus does her best to double the cost of the trip) when a Russian bint wanders up with her kid, says to him "Mummy has to go to the shop quickly, stay here, have fun and don't talk to anyone" then wanders off, leaving him there.

The kid's probably a member of ISIS by now.

Do United have an official Thermal clothing partner? Chance to show off tonight.

Lingard eh? Like it. Might be a bit of a tough one though.

    The record continues though.

Personally I would have preferred Darmian for Valencia and Mata for Lingard. If they win LVG will be a genius, if they lose a plank :emoticon-0105-wink:

I tend to think of Valencia as winger rather than full back ..... last time we played a winger in defence it went horribly wrong (Arsenal 3-0)

Its a pretty good line up tbf, darmian will be important v City so can see why he's being rested. He's looked tired recently.

    The perfect midfield too.

That whole right side looks vulnerable.

Give him the benefit of the doubt with Lingard (I can understand him resting Mata) but Valencia???

I hope with Herrera and Schweinsteiger, we can play direct attacking football and not allow them to exploit that right side.

City game. Darnians been off it recently so get him rested.

Lingard because he's more flexible. Expect us to play on the counter again.

Looks like we are set up for the counter and simply utilising our squad.

Hargreaves talking bollocks again om BT Europe.

I was surprised how well Darmian started for us, IMHO he looked like our best defender. However I have noticed he's dropped off a bit so you might be right.

The great thing about football is it's all opinions. I feel Valencia has in the past put in some solid games for us, where as for me Lingard is a bit of a 1st team unknown. I guess it could be argued he needs to be given a chance, but away in the champions league is being dropped in the deep end?

Wouldn't say poor start. De gea unlucky there.

A draw here would be goodnso we now need a goal, no matter what.

HT 1-0 about right, we've been passing it around without really looking threatening?

1 half-chance created, 0 shots on goal <laugh> Rooney is fcking finished. As suspected, Valencia has been an absolutely pointless selection.

I don't really give a fck about the goal conceded. It's the fcking response that disappoints! It is as always the fcking performance <doh> United under Moyes played better in the CL group stages - with inferior players, against better opposition. But apparently 50 pointless passes played at a snail's pace before the ball goes out to play, is us getting better.

Yep, not created anything really, few half chances for Rooney but we've not really done much else.

The way in is down the left clearly but Martial is getting crowded very quickly. Might be time to move him centrally, bring Delay on the left and top Rooney in to AM.

Its certainly been too slow. As I said above, Martial is the key down the left, he need to create something that means he's not doubles up on, Shaw would have made that happen IMO.

Moving him centrally might allow him more space as Rooney is coming looking for the ball which is pointless without players running off him. If he gets the ball under control to begin with obviously.

Playing as slow as we are also allows CSKA to break on us at pace.

Need to speed it up, 50 passes is fine if it leads somewhere, its not if we are not looking to run at them.
