I've watched **** loads of football over the years and what I see in Vardy is a decent but limited player going through a purple patch. Irregardless to anything else, I don't really rate the Champions League since they allowed non-champions in - has basically become like the UEFA Cup from years back.
Oh yeah, I see where you are coming from. I would rate it much more with champions like TNS, Celtic, Crusaders, Dundalk instead of the likes of Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Man City & Arsenal.
