I'd guess that you'd, like me, have several? This is one of mine, very recent (drone?) film, but I love the place in black-and-white. I love it in reality, too.
Just recently got back from a week riding with a group of mates on the roads in the article - incredible roads, mile after mile of sweeping curves, hairpins and scenery that makes the lakes and Scottish highlands look drab in comparison (no ****in' rain either). I've ridden for fortyodd years but never come close to experiencing roads like these. https://thespanishbiker.wordpress.com/2011/08/06/day-21-to-cantabria-and-the-picos-de-europa/
It's a good question. I dunno what my favourite place is - Central Park maybe or somewhere on the Amalfi Coast would be up there. My least favourite is a piece o' piss - Las Vegas.
Me too. But I did love the old Highway 1 and a place at Big Sur, called Nepenthe, which looked out over the Pacific Ocean.
Favorite place= Probably right in between the two bridges under Harpers Ferry West Virgina. There is a great cat fish hole there that I used to fish all the time with my buddies in high school. please log in to view this image Least favorite place = a tie between NY City and Salt Lake City
Love to live in Venice, I would work as a road sweeper. Actually I would try to earn my keep as an artist. With a small studio/gallery of my own work.
Tough one to call. Here in the UK probably Reeth, North Yorkshire. Just the idyllic nature of the village and The Black Bull does a Steak Pie like no other. Yet to be eaten by us East Yorkshiremen. Elsewhere probably Donnybrook bar on Clinton St, NYC. Wonderful beer, wonderfuller women.
I've travelled a lot, but Haderslev in Denmark is about the only place I've been to regularly and thought I'd like to live. I also love Hong Kong, I've been around eighty times and it's like a second home.
Reno is just as bad, but the nearby Lake Tahoe area is brilliant ... vaguely similar to our own Lake District, but much sunnier. The English Lake District is my favourite place on earth.
What exotic places many have been to! Our grandparents had a week or two in Scarborough always staying in the same b&b and didn't grumble.
Reno is the bad but have you been to Barstow? Lake Tahoe is really nice, I am lucky that its just a little drive up the road from me. A photo from a few weeks ago I took there, not the best place on the lake but it had free parking. please log in to view this image
For me, Berchtesgaden was magical. Helped that the weather was amazing. I likes me lakes and mountains.
