I'm not sure it's worked out quite as you planned though. You "told" on me but your fellow reds are now laying into Vardy in defence of Benteke!
Fox fans are rightly proud of their lad and for the rest of us it's great to see an English player doing well. The real test is can he sustain it, until he shows he can I think his stats [I know, I know] aren't that impressive ....... so far.
Claudio Ranieri has done a good job, I think the main objective of the club is to stay up.If Vardy can go on and on I can assure you that he is not going to be at Leicester next season. But can he??.
I don't care what they think, I'm with the Foxy fans on this I've been watching Vardy and he's clearly (too me) woked hard on his game and has improved as a result and is not as some would argue just getting lucky and going through a purple patch.
...as I said ... many of his critics haven't actually seen a great deal of him Stockbridge - 66 goals in 107 appearances Halifax - 29 goals in 41 appearances Fleetwood 31 goals in 36 appearances ... so a goal every 1.4 games - yes I'd call that phenomanal ... He's currently scored 34 goals for us in 106 appearances - but that is quite misleading - as those who actually have watched him know .. In his first season in the Championship he only scored 4 times in 26 appearnces - he started well with a couple of goals and also had a couple of perfectly good goals wrongly disallowed - he then got injured and was mostly used as a sub for the rest of the season In his second season - he scored 16 in 37 Championship ppearances so a tally of a gaol every 2.3 games ... not bad at all - and as I said the boy was finding his feet .. First season in the Prem another huge step up and apart from his one man dismantelling of Louis Van Gaal's 'Galcticos' at the KP ... he struggled to cement a regular starting spot ... until the end of the season run ... where he came in and didn't look back ... if you take the last 10 games of last eason and the first 9 of this he is averaging a goal every 1.**** games... ... as I said - the quickest to sneer at his meteoric rise are geneally the least knowledgeable ...
Why do you think I'm not calm? It's really obvious when I'm not calm, the members on here will back me up there. I'm a ranter and I get all abusive and have to apologise the next day.
You're trying to impress me with his non-league record...? I once scored 21 goals in 18 games for my University team. Still waiting on that England call up! With regards to your last line, that's pretty pathetic. You don't agree with me, therefore you are ignorant. Great debating and banter there pal.
... the jury is still out on the quality of Women's football ... particularly going back that far ... as to the last line .. you don't thinks that's valid ... OK please let me know how many full games you've watched Vardy play and I'll humbly retract the assertion?
You're probably right, I cannot say I've watched a lot of him until this season but my opinion is based on what (some would say the little) I know about playing as a striker or more specifically shooting technique. At this moment in time he is hitting a ball perfectly, all the correct technique is applied to shooting and he's getting the benefit of this improvement, this along with the quite obvious hard work he's put into his fitness are the reasons that he will continue to score goals this season. I cannot say that this will continue for years to come as fitness is a big part of his form and a loss of a yard or 2 may affect him.
... agree with evrything you have put ... if I'm completely honest I would have had him as our 3rd choice striker at the start of the season ... but the improvement in him has been beyond belief ... and I've seen every game. Him, Mahrez and Kante have been, quite frankly, amazing.
Surely that's only something you can say in the future when looking back. Whether his 'run' is or isn't sustained will be the deciding factor.
I've seen him play enough times to know what a limited player he is. Going overboard about a player on a hot streak suggests that you're a reactionary fan. The Leicester version of Arsenal87. When he goes through a barren patch you'll be on his back claiming that you always knew he was just going through a hot streak. Good luck!
I agree in that time will tell as to which point of view is correct and if he starts playing like a donkey then I would have to admit I was wrong, something tells me though that this won't be the case with some of those who think I'm wrong. #stubborn #knowitall
Can we just all agree that Vardy is the best striker in the history of the English game, then we can just move on, as this is boring the ****ing tits off me
