That was as bad as it gets. Right up there in recent years with Spurs and Wycombe under Reed, and Sheff Utd under both Pardew and Powell. Basically we were beaten when the team was announced at 7.15. It was a "welcome to League One" line up. A modicum of sympathy for the Stooge Luzon was lost when you saw his 'square pegs in round holes' line up including 4 full backs and no attacking midfielder or hold up player. Picking Holmes-Dennis (poor last night) is plain wrong in these circumstances, and KAG is another who is way out of his depth. The little midget kid Conor will never play for Everton if he lives to be 200, his next stop on Merseyside will be Birkenhead Jobcentre. A non entity of a player and absolutely obscene that we wasted scarce resources signing him.

I want to save particular vitriol for Ba, Bergdich and Sarr.

The latter makes Andre Bikey look like Paolo Maldini, he will never cut the mustard with the physicality of the Championship and is a tenth of the defender Morrison or even Dervite was.

Bergdich is an apology of a footballer. No matter where he plays, he has a footballing brain the size of a frozen pea, and drifts inside and loses his position at will. Luzon frequently screams at him yet two mins later he is on the wrong side of the pitch again. He is not a full back and he is not a midfielder. He is that unique specimen - another piece of Roland Network cack.

Worst of all was Ba <doh> I really cleared my throat when he was hooked last night. He must have lost possssion 40 times. He cannot pass, he cannot take a touch, and he is so slow in the head he made the two Preston boys look like Xavi and Iniesta. Whoever scouted this dud should be sacked, or at least blocked from going on You Tube for a week.

One aside. I take no pleasure particularly in saying 'I told you so' but as with everyone else on here, this has been a 'long time coming' as Sam Cooke once sung. The writing has been writ large on the wall for 18 months. Lessons are never learned, mistakes are repeated, lies are told. Jackson is wheeled out to make a cringeworthy video calling for the fans to come last night - we get there, and he is dropped for gash like Ba.

The only thing Meire and Douche will understand is in your face hostility. That needs to start this Saturday.

I've stolen this from a fan on Facebook (I convinced my friend to leave 10 mins before the end to beat the crowds to the pub) so missed this - but I don't think this is for show. I think he along with JJ and the promoted youth players are the only ones that care.

It's just a shame we don't have anyone in the dressing room who is prepared to walk around and give a few slaps out. No winners, because WE GOT RID OF THEM ALL

I'm still in shock from the awfulness of it. I left early, but the station was still packed when I got there. Some games when you get outplayed the opposition look as though they have an extra man, but Preston looked as though they had 3 or 4 extra men. And their 3 goals were so easy. For the first, we had 3 men on their attacking player, but still had to foul him on the edge of the "D". For the second I think it was Berdich stood and watched Gallagher take careful aim and pick his spot. For the 3rd their player simply shrugged off our defence and picked his spot. If we'd been playing a really good side they'd have run up a cricket score.

Preston did their homework on pope and long range shots. FHB has unknowingly aided the whole league when making that observation many moons ago <cheers>

Yeah Makienok tried hard and could have been effective; should have been introduced at half time. Watt was trying really hard to make it happen in the first half but nothing opened up for him and he wasn't helped by others.

Did anyone see Prestons solitary Sikh fan and his Union Jack PNE flag waving show? He also did a one man version of you're not singing anymore in about the 85th minute once everyone had gone home. It was quite something.

I stayed right to the end to vent my spleen. I am still in shock at how awful that was. There must be something rotten at the club for us to be that bad.

Shockingly bad, only Watt with any sort of credit to be honest, worked so hard just nothing came off.
Luzon sacked but as we have pretty much all said the sh!t is higher up.
If we were going to bring anyone in, and anyone realistic (thus no Sir Alex out of retirement) it would be Riga for me, he worked under RD and actually has been our most successful manager since Powell, couldn't hurt to try.
But he's still manager of Metz at the moment so RD wouldn't spend the money to get him :(

"I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed," I said to the charming young woman that sits next to me. Apathy had set in, to the point where after such a dreadful performance, I had neither the will nor the energy to berate the players that I no longer share any affinity with, at our club that has now become a rotating door. Leading me further down the path of apathy was Luzon's lacklustre, yet overwhelmingly estimating his own value with the fans, press conference. "I'm confident that I'll still be manager come Saturday" he reiterated to BBC London. Come Saturday, I'll hear the same excuse, the same abuse and nothing would have changed, I think to myself.

I tweeted you last night Nick-

A quick look at PNE's matchday 18 shows just TWO players born outside the British Isles
And just shows what can be done with hard working lads, full of energy, one or two ball playing players (Johnson & Gallagher) instead of the foreign tripe that we constantly bring in

I thought last night was far more poisonous than the 5-2 by Sheff Utd

    I won't be going Saturday

i dont know about watt, i dont think he showed any tactical awareness at all last night. he kept dropping deep to get the ball. makienok came on and within 5 mins shouted at him when he wasnt there for a flick on he won.

ba should never play for us again. bergdich is almost at that level - we've never seen him start at left back. but he was utter cack last night.

i can understand the boo's, but i dont think pope, THD, fox, cousins or KAG deserved them. They should be playing for the u21's and developing. right now they're being destroyed - they're kids, they'll be taking all this to heart knowing that their lives/careers depend on this. they wont want to play for us soon and will give up like the rest of them. even luzon isnt to blame for this mess, when our first 11 gets a few injuries, he shouldnt have to draw from the u17's - he should have a respectable set of reserves ready. our squad is too shallow and that's the board fault. they havent invested properly, they havent learned from previous transfer window mistakes.

bloody awful last night. left 15 mins early, there were more fans outside than inside.

Reports on Charlton Life that Meire was seen laughing and joking with her group of corporate guests at full time last night.

I know that she is a lifelong Charlton fan who really loves the club (in her own words), but after a 3-0 home defeat this seems strange behaviour?

Last time she got flack was on the train home from Watford, entertaining corporate guest. I'd hate to be on her guest list. You're opening yourself to being targeted.

Katrien Meire has got about as much genuine affection for Charlton as I have for Jeremy Corbyn. She is a horrible, arrogant and insincere jumped up little madam, promoted on her looks way out of her depth. The side effect is that her incompetence is killing the Club.
