Just I remember people getting annoyed when we were talking about the general election before and as it happened - didn't see how this was different and yet everyone is joining in

One of the reasons I installed Linux on my media streaming pc was to restrict the chance of 'infection'. It's used mainly for watching Saints (or cricket) on dodgy sites so I have the odd popup offer requesting money for a 'cleanup' or maybe talk to a nice half naked Russian girl who apparently finds 58yr old fat men like me stunningly attractive and sexy.

Puppy linux installs in about 4 mins from usb, runs firefox/flash and acestreamer if required. Job done.

What ever you do don't install windows 10. It's a pile of crap with so many bugs. I haven't been able to use my tool bar or start menu for like a month.

Yeah, I'm pretty lax these days. I used to have Mint running on one of my computers, and I might go back to it if I find a spare bit of kit. Amazingly [this may be hard to believe], but Windows10 plays video a bit better than other formats. Linux suffers from not being supported properly by Adobe anymore and the generic flash player was a bit worse given the same kit, the last time I experimented.

Never used Puppy Linux, but have heard about it. Apparently it's tiny and consequently superfast. Might be fun to experiment with a few Linux interations over the winter.

Well that's funny Beef because I have 3 Win10 PCs and they all run perfectly. I did intend to keep a previous Windows version but Win10 is too good, so the extra test PC keeps 7 only.

3 times lucky! So many people are reporting the bug or bugs. Kind of annoying I can't use the menu. But as you said it's better then W8, just need the bugs fixed.

They will. What do you think they are allowing people to download the OS for free over the year.? We're field testers. That's OK. I've never paid for any computer software in my life, and I wasn't going to start now. :)

I can't be bothered to be nerdy enough to field test pre-published stuff these days, but I did beta testing for Win7 and 8. Always liked Win7 as it was the best thing since XP, but Win10 will end up better.

I got annoyed and I'm ignoring the current political stuff. The reason I don't like it is because people seem to change when they discuss politics; there seems more stubbornness and less flexibility to even entertain any view from the other side. Politics often brings out too much extremism in a discussion.

A nice story coming out of sadness. A couple left with a $35K wedding feast after their daughter was jilted invited homeless people to the hotel to have the food. A lovely gesture much appreciated.

I don't really think talking about the UN looking into ATOS/ government is the same as saying what party you like. I don't really see it as politic myself, I look at it from a different kind of view.

Ah sorry thought you were. I get what you mean about politics. It is basically the same with religion as well. People try too hard to protect how others feel about their beliefs.

First event was holding your own body weight on a pole ... He came last.

Next a 3 person team event to get over obstacles - his team won

Finally a reaction game a bit like using body movements (rotate, jump forward, back, down) like Simon the old electronics game, so a game of reaction and quick thinking. He came second and so is through to next week!!

Before the MLT enquiry I'd started writing about Sunday's MotoGP race at Phillip Island. WOW.! F***, that was some race. No wonder LTL was gushing. You simply couldn't keep up with the amount of overtaking going on. Lorenzo was trying his best to stay ahead, but they [Marquez. Iannone and Rossi] reeled him in. Then just as the race was getting down to the vinegar thingies, he got back into the lead, and with a lap to go he was about 3/4 second in front. But Marquez reeled him in again, but not before Iannone had blasted past both Him and Rossi. I knew the placings but for the life of me I couldn't see how they were going to do it, with half a lap to go. Brilliant, brilliant race. One of the better ones this season.

And Andrea Iannone headbutted a dirty great seagull at 120mph.! If he hadn't the bird could have smashed into his visor. The bird died I understand, but Iannone got away lightly. Could have been much worse for him too. The video headline is incorrect. I think they did it on purpose to get more people to watch it.

Bummer....meant to watch that, but didn't recognise the title. :(
Anyone watching River on BBC...excellent mystery. Excellent acting. Weird though because it stars Nicola Walker and she is also in Unforgotten...what's the chance of being in 2 shows at the same time (and in Last Tango in Halifax).

If only Iannone had been on better machinery from the very beginning of the season or that Ducati had got their act together earlier.
I've been following Iannone's career with a bit of interest ever since Scott Redding pressured him so hard at Donington and he made a mistake to allow Scott to become the youngest ever 125cc GP winner. Then there was Missano when he clashed with Pol Espargaro on the last corner, which ended up in fisticuffs. If he sounds a bit of loose cannon it hides the fact that he can race like few other riders can. He nicknames himself Crazy Joe and he can wrestle machinery into performing quickly. When He and Marquez were together in Moto2 he was on a much slower machine but he'd literally bully the thing to get round the track faster. Inevitably he would eat up the tyres, but by hell he was great to watch. So it comes as no surprise that he's got the slow turning Ducati partially tamed in MotoGP. He's doing far better than the previously super-quick Dovizioso and on Phillip Island Iannone bullied the Duke to stay and compete with the works Yamahas and Hondas. I think he's a fairly safe bet to provide the main thrills when mentor and mate Rossi retires. World Champion material, in my opinion, if they give him the right bike.

That's fine....just so long as they agree with your agenda.<cheers>:emoticon-0148-yes: <bubbly> When they don't ....well, that's outrageous interfering.:emoticon-0149-no::emoticon-0172-mooni:emoticon-0173-middl A bit like democracy being great when you get the "right" result.

No matter how anyone dresses it up, it's a transparent avoidance of attacking anyone worse (quite a few) whose vote they need, whose agenda they support, or who haven't got a high enough profile (and therefore don't matter as much).

Whether they have a point or not, the fact that they have gone for one of the better nations (in world terms) shows their partiality.
