What the **** are you talking about? Have you completely lost the plot because others spotted that we'd be a better team without Huddlestone quicker than Steve Bruce did?
Listen, I would have picked any of our players who are capable of playing in central midfield over Huddlestone, weeks ago! And it's not hindsight as I've been saying it for weeks, he was utter dogwank last season and he's continued in the same vein. It's not rocket science. In fact I'm finding it quite amusing that you find it so difficult to understand, and clearly hadn't identified our obvious weak link yourself.
The cross for Bruce's goal was excellent, 'have pity on him as he knows not what he says lord', they should try putting their brain in gear before they speak.....probably has trouble dressing !!!!
I think despite scoring twice we were terrible for almost the entire first 45. Bruce needs to pick a formation and stick to it regardless. I don't like this continual switching between 4-4-2 and 3-5-2. It shouldn't cause disruption, the players should be capable of switching systems. But I believe this is the reason why we look sluggish - it's the same pattern. We pick a formation, we play it regardless of home or away and we impose ourselves on the opposition. We definitely have the players to romp this league - we're just not getting the performances.
You jumped on my where's the Bruce out thread? So I'll ask you another question! Who would you prefer to manage us? And do you think your choice would be able to attract the likes of Dawson, akpom, etc?
David Burns– @bbcburnsy Steve Bruce @HullCity says Curtis Davies scan tomorrow on what they think is a torn calf. More on @RadioHumberside tomorrow. #hcafc 3:04 p.m. - 20 Oct 2015 from Hessle, England Fingers crossed it's not bad news.
Check back on my previous posts and you'll see. The likes of Dawson, Akpom, etc are already here, they don't need attracting.
I thought we missed hudds before we got firing...we played ok imho against a defeated team after 1-0. Look at me though 3-0 and still think we potentially could've slaughtered them if we played to our full potential!
I heard him also, Clucas had a good game, it makes you wonder what some people actual watch, and whether they understand the game.
True we have played within ourselves I sat there on Saturday scratching my head looking at our team compared to Wednesdays But tonight there was flashes of good play
We got akpom due to Bruce's special relationship with mr wenger. It was thought akpon wouldn't be going out on loan this season but when Bruce asked he said yes..... Has done Bruce a few favours in the past ....
Just got back. Weird one really. One the plus side, we put three past an opponent with relative ease, it's like we weren't even trying and if Chuba can play like that every week then Diomande is going to have a hard time breaking into the team. As the game wore on Ipswich tired and we took control; aside from one save towards the end McGregor was rarely troubled and that's good to see. It gives us momentum going into the game against Brum and a chance to extend our unbeaten run. I enjoyed the three points but.... Downsides. It's like we aren't even trying; it's almost as if the players expect a win to come simply because the other team aren't as good as we are. Which worked tonight but I don't think anybody could've predicted that Ipswich would be that awful and it's not the attitude to build a game plan around. The fans are right to get frustrated when you see a team like Ipswich collect the ball, look up and pass forward to another player. We get the ball and the first glance is to see who's unmarked, not to try and play a defence splitting pass. Brucey did mention in the post match that Ipswich flooded the midfield and he's right to point out that it takes a bit of patience to break down a 5 man midfield. However, with the players we've got (our midfield cost the better part of £15m) it shouldn't have taken as long as it did and there was always a feeling that something could go wrong at any moment. We need to find the confidence to take players on; for some reason, both Elmo and Robertson have gone from flying full backs to dribbling 8 yards, stopping and passing inside, without an overlap. I have no idea why this is the case; I can only assume Bruce has told them not to do it in a 4-4-2, in which case what the hell? If we can manage 3-0 from second gear, why couldn't we rip them a new one and shift into fourth or fifth? It's easy to be satisfied with a 3-0 win, of course it is and even ol' David Meyler managed a bit of magic worthy of an Alan Partridge "TWAT" moment. But if you can honestly say hand on heart that tonight's performance is the best that team can manage (and we shouldn't expect anything less than the best from our lads), then perhaps you should be at Glanford Park rather than the KC, because there are teams that will turn up and take advantage of our nature soon enough.
It's not a problem - We've got free scoring Alex Bruce to step into defence. Cue post from Sharon aged 13.
