The sideline on Saturday. Klopp called him back from his warm up and was not impressed by the time it took him to come back to the bench and strip off. Apparently anyone within 20 feet heard the dressing down

Missed that, so he was just too slow getting back to the dugout ?? Or he was dawdling getting his tracky bottoms and top off ?? Or both ??

Very good news - we have the option to recall Markovic in January.

The Echo - Klopp will consider the merits of recalling Markovic from his loan spell in January. Klopp is an admirer and must decide whether he would be better served returning to LFC or continuing his successful spell in Turkey.

It would be difficult to get anyone better who would automatically gel with the team for £15mill.

It's all well and good saying we can do better and only worth "X" but shouldn't sell unless you can guarantee you can get someone as good.

You said you wouldn't sell him for less than 15 million, he's no where near that value.

I wouldn't sell him for 15mill because we couldn't replace him for 15mill.

... Well we could... But it would be a gamble. Obviously decent plays get sold for less than that every year.

He's a strange one, he came in made a big impact, went to Derby made a huge impact, came back and then was shifted around and played at RWB and seems to have lost a bit of confidence there.

He needs to get back to basics and do what he did when he was on form and that's get the ball and run at players. Not think too much about coming inside to link up play etc as at the moment he's not good enough to do it.

    <yikes>
I'd sell him for £10m but don't think anyone would offer that based on his form in the last 3 years.

Klopp gave him a telling off when he was about to come on against Spurs because Ibe wasn't ready (didn't have top on I think)

Skrtel hasn't gelled with the team for the last 3 years so can't be that hard to replace him... Gomez, Illori would be "free" and wouldn't be any worse.

Reading through this thread there seems to be alot of insanity over Ibe. You must be crazy to think the club will want to sell Ibe at the moment.
He's English, young, highly rated, genuinely talented and skilful. In about 2-3 years time he'll be worth £30m or more and I'd hope we'd hold onto him.
Granted he needs a kick up the bum, he's spent last 2 years with Rodgers being soft on players and too chummy. I think Klopp will remind him how hard he needs to work and how hard he worked to get where he is now, not to mention Klopp has a great track record with young talent.

On the OP, Ignoring all the **** outcast still at the club (Enrique and Toure) got to be Lovren and Skrtel. Both are poor and with our past record of defending he'll want to bring someone of his own choice. Not to mention Skrtel is rapidly losing any potential resale value.

Both ... strolled back to the bench and then had to tie his laces and put in his shin pads

Definitely sell Skrtel - he makes far too many mistakes, and I rather play a youngster who will make no more mistakes but at least have proper coaching to develop.

Howedes looks like he wants to come to us and he's perfect - we'll probably end up making money by selling Skrtel and signing Howedes due to his release clause.

Didn't realise Flanno was energetic or had Bolt-like speed ...? Perhaps I'm watching a different player ...?

Why is everyone picking on poor Skrtel... Surely Lovren would have to be the first CB we kick out.
