The league is too physical and he's not fit nor strong enough. If that were to change then he's got the ability to be sensational. Can't argue with 5 goals and 5 assists so far this season though.
You are... i'm talking 3 years. Til now i've never considered him a goalscorer. Now that he's added that dimension (or at least appears to have done having averaged a goal every other game since March) it's no surprise that he's in the England side.
You were saying he's the best the PL has seen since Tevez and you've only been in the PL just over 1 year. Last season he scored 5 - so that's 13 goals in the PL so far and I already pointed out Suarez had 16 in just 9 games. I'm not trying to put him down, I'm pleased for your club and him but it may be just a little too soon to be bigging him up.
Stylistically - it's sensible to suggest Vardy is similar to Suarez and Tevez. I've not watched Vardy over his career - has he always played like this?
Yes - always was a really hard working player but lacked that tactical nuance that you need at this level. Last season he was offside more often then not, but has really worked that side of his game and you can see the results from his return for us.
Another one that can't grasp a simple sentence of the language she/he claims to speak. Nobody has played the playing style Vardy plays as well as he has since Tevez (and in some ways Suarez). I think you'll find that that does not mean that I think he's as good or better than either of those players.
please log in to view this image No ... but he's certainly putting other Prem strikers in their place
I didn't presume for one minute you thought he was better than Suarez or Tevez because if you did, you lose credibility straight away. You're very excited by him and rightly so but unless you've watched every prem game since Tevez left, you can't claim anything as fact in terms of what Vardy does being the best there's been since then. He's scored 13 goals in what 47 games, let's give it a bit of time eh to see if he can carry it on, otherwise as others have said, he's just a one season wonder and there's been plenty of those. You might like to cut the attitude as well. Everyone on here, including me, has been civil to you, condescending remarks are unnecessary
Now he IS better than Messi ... ... mercurial talent ... peronally, I haven't seen anybody with so much natural footballing ability at Leicester since the days of Frank Worthington and Keith Weller ... ... he's not particularly robust but is positively balletic when running with the ball ... have witnessed opponents actually falling on their arses because they get mesmerised by which way he is going to go and then get it all wrong ... worth the entrance money on his own ... how long we'll be able to keep him? who knows ... but has just signed a long term deal, so we will at least get something to ease the pain of his departure should he go ... probably get a lot of flack on here for saying that I think he is far better than Sterling ... because as well as the trickery he also has a final pass (creates loads of chances for others) and can finish too ... can see one of the big European boys coming in for him ... would do very well in Spain
You won't get any stick from Liverpool fans, we don't think he's as good as made out. Certainly not worth £49m!
Sterling was good. Wish we still had him. Bright spark has energy and drive. Will have a good career. He is no £50million player though.
Are you joking? This is like pulling teeth. Please read that simple sentence and then come back to me. I'm not here to talk about his goalscoring or his ability as a footballer. I'm talking about his style of play (which i've seen more than 47 games of), I must have said this about 15 times now.
You're getting yourself worked up over nothing. The only reason to be shouting about him in the first place is the goals. He's a striker, strikers bread and butter is goals - whatever style he has, doesn't matter. If he has a style that's never been seen before and is therefore unique in that style - doesn't matter. He's having a great start to a season, long may it continue. If the goals dry up, you just have a pacy, gutsy player and there's lots of those about too.
No, it's not. This is my point. It's why Leicester fans are raving like mad about Jamie Vardy and have been for about 3 and a half years.
Not saying he is anywhere near the class of those two players but is a great fact: please log in to view this image OptaJoe @OptaJoe 1 hour ago 9 - Jamie Vardy has scored as many league goals this season as Cristiano Ronaldo (6) and Lionel Messi (3) combined. Rival.
Oh I've got you all wrong then, apologies, I thought you were here to discuss his goals and him being leading goalscorer like the other foxes have been, I didn't know you just wanted to talk about him in general terms, my mistake
