Matty James is out and Leonardo Ulloa will also miss out after picking up a knock in training . So here is what I would go with Schmeichel Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Dyer Drinkwater Kante Schlupp Mahrez Vardy Subs- Schwarzer, Benalouane, King, Inler, Albrighton, Okazaki, Kramaric
Hope dyer will start but think he may go for the more defensive capable Albrighton to counter the threat of Zaha and bolasie.
It's an interesting conundrum for the Tinkerman ... personally I think we need Mahrez's creativity ... Albrighton has been a little disappointing recently ... but we do need to be able to counter Palace's pace ...
Agreed, but I think he is a bit more solid than little dyer and his delivery is crucial to try and get on some crosses in the first half. I like dyers pace as a sub to change a game morE so than albrighton can
I agree Ed. Albrighton offers more defensively for me as I mentioned before. BUT we are at home and would be excited to see Dyer and Mahrez start
I think we need to take the game to Palace and keep them on the back foot ... they did the double on us last season with all their goals coming from set pieces as I recall ... now both games were before the Huthmeister's arrival but Southampton exploited our frailty from such at the weekend ... so let's keep them in their own half chasing shadows
Agree with your team, although personally still can't stand the fact that Simpson is starting for us and would like to see De Laet or Benalouane in.
As the home team shouldnt Pardew be thinking more about dealing with Dyer, Mahrez, Schlupp and Albrighton's pace? Dyer will always put a shift in defensively from what the Swansea fans have said so theres no worries there. Best way to counter pace is pace
Not even sure Schlupp felt that blow to the head tbh with you. I kind of get the feeling there isn't a lot of damage to be done in that area.
I was explaining the brilliance of Jeff to a friend who I was watching the match with, how he'll do something fantastic one minute and then the next produce a piece of football even I'd be embarrassed by, then next thing he goes and does that! He's a great player to watch from a neutral perspective I bet!
